EnsTren: *pets SheSeto*
Edmondia: so how's she feeling about the whole "MINEMINEMINE!" bit?
EnsTren: doesn't like it at all
Edmondia: I'd imagine not
Edmondia: ...SheSeto's sitting at the end of HeSeth's bed and staring at him...
EnsTren: oh and in brain Gozaburo locked SheSeto in dark dark closet when she had her period
EnsTren: said "I hope you don't bleed to death."
Edmondia: ...
Edmondia: *sets Goz on fire*
EnsTren: v. v. traumatizing things
EnsTren: yush
Edmondia: ...and Seth just woke up and went O.O "Meep!"
EnsTren: of course she stank to high heaven when he let ehr out a week later, she had a pitcher of water though and maybe some bread
EnsTren: heehee
Edmondia: ...and now they're staring at each other
Edmondia: *sets Goz on fire again*
EnsTren: EnsTren: *kills Goz*
EnsTren: *watches HeSeth and SheSeto stare at each other*

Edmondia: Seth is rather nervous and feeling somewhat trapped.
EnsTren: And Seto shifted her weight and finally commented, "You're mine, but I don't like feeling like you're mine."
Edmondia: Seth shifted back against the pillows, sitting up fully. "Um...?" he responded intelligently, scratching the back of his head.
EnsTren: "I don't like how it takes control away from me."
Edmondia: He looked blankly at her. "Um... what?"
EnsTren: She looked away, "I said horrible things to Mai and I didn't even realize it."
Edmondia: He straightened up, giving her a concerned look. "Hikari... was - about me?" he questioned, confused.
EnsTren: "Yes," she hissed, as if it were a strain.
Edmondia: "I... have to admit that I don't understand what you mean, pretty light."
EnsTren: "She asked me a question and I responded, and I didn't even know what I said until she made me record it."
Edmondia: "Can I ask what question?"
EnsTren: "She asked if she could sleep with you--at least that's the question she asked to prove her point... while I was... recording."
Edmondia: He blinked rather rapidly. "I... see?"
EnsTren: "I called her a disease ridden bitch-whore."
Edmondia: He blinked at her again. "...bwuh?"
EnsTren: She glared at him.
Edmondia: "Um... is this my fault?"
EnsTren: "It's because I'm possessive of you, you're mine but I don't want to feel that way if it means I... Mai-chan... and I can't control myself!"
Edmondia: He bit his lip. "I'm sorry..."
EnsTren: "I didn't even know I was saying it until I heard.. the recording.."
Edmondia: "...was it - instinctive, do you think?" he questioned carefully, "Like... how the others are, sometimes?"
EnsTren: "I don't like it," she insisted.
Edmondia: "I know, pretty light - but... I don't know if there's anything you can do about it. It's not as though you wanted to hurt Mai personally - just... for a moment, you perceived her as a threat, and reacted..."
EnsTren: "I don't like not being able to control myself though."
EnsTren: "And she... was the only person... I wanted... to know... that told."
Edmondia: "...she's your friend, hikari, she won't turn on you."
EnsTren: "I don't want to call her things because of you."
Edmondia: He looked down at the covers, abashed. "I'm sorry..."
EnsTren: She knotted her hands into fists, knuckles pale as the blood was forced out.
Edmondia: "You can hit me if you want."
EnsTren: "...I hate you," she whimpered sadly.
Edmondia: He sighed. "I know, pretty light."
EnsTren: She was crying again.
Edmondia: "...pretty light, will you - will you let me hug you?"
EnsTren: she sniffed, "W-why w-would y-y-you want to do th-at?"
Edmondia: He almost hit himself. Of course - why would she want him to hug her? "...I just - you're crying again, and I - I would like to make you feel better."
EnsTren: "...Okay," came the soft whisper.
Edmondia: He inched across the bed towards her, then looked rather helplessly at her. "Um - where can I touch, pretty light?"
EnsTren: She gazed back at him, looking about as lost and forelorn as he felt. "You can hold me."
Edmondia: He blinked and settled next to her, cautiously slipping an arm around her shoulders. "Um - is this okay?"
EnsTren: "...Yeah."
Edmondia: "...um, can I... scoot closer?"
EnsTren: She started shaking in his arms, "N-nnot too close."
Edmondia: He hesitated and moved a half-inch closer. "Like that? Is that okay?"
EnsTren: She bit her lip and flexed her hands. She had talked to the lady too and... She didn't like it but... She shifted closer to him by a half an inch as well.
Edmondia: He blinked over at her, surprised, and cautiously squeezed her shoulders.
EnsTren: There, that wasn't so bad, was it? She reasoned to herself, trying to force her muscles to untense and for her mind to stop wailing.
Edmondia: It certainly didn't help things that he was only wearing pajama bottoms.
EnsTren: She was fully clothed though, and that made it a bit safer. Even. Though. She. Could. Feel. The. Heat. From. His. Skin.
Edmondia: "...breathe, pretty light, breathe..."
EnsTren: Oh yeah. She had forgotton about that.
Edmondia: "...better?" he asked softly when her breathing had fallen back into a regular rhythm.
EnsTren: A strangled sort of sound.
Edmondia: "Gently, pretty light, draw in a breath, hold it for a moment, and exhale. Okay?"
EnsTren: She tried to listen to him.
EnsTren: But oh she was shaking so much in his arms, like that little bird he had caught when he was a child, it was just fledged and not yet able to fly.
EnsTren: He had felt its heart beat as he cradled it close to his chest and carried it into a garden to be safe.
Edmondia: "Slowly, now - don't force yourself, pretty Hathor, just concentrate on inhaling and exhaling - that's good, that's good, like that, slowly now, inhale through your nose..."
EnsTren: Nods and repeated attempts at breath. Oh, but how he wanted to take care of her.
Edmondia: But she would never allow it, and this was all he could do.
Edmondia: ...did he scare her so much she couldn't even breathe on her own?
EnsTren: But... she had moved closer to him.
Edmondia: That was a good sign, wasn't it? Maybe - maybe she was just upset because of... what had happened?
EnsTren: And look, she was breathing better already!
Edmondia: Beautiful strong hikari.
EnsTren: So brave.
Edmondia: Was he supposed to tell her that?
EnsTren: It was a positive thing, right? And the lady said positive things were good.
Edmondia: So... he should tell her?
EnsTren: "You're...very brave, pretty hikari."
EnsTren: Her breathing stopped.
Edmondia: He hadn't meant for that to happen!
EnsTren: Did he do something wrong?
Edmondia: "Hikari...? Have I... offended you?"
EnsTren: She moved closer to him and it was his turn to stop breathing.
Edmondia: "...'kari?" He hadn't meant for his voice to jump that high.
EnsTren: "Thank you."
Edmondia: He didn't know what to say - so he just squeezed her shoulders again and made a soft noise in the back of his throat.
EnsTren: She was shaking again, but breathing well.
Edmondia: He bit his lip and gently stroked her shoulder. "It's all right, pretty light..."
EnsTren: She was so beautiful, and her hair--she had allowed it to grow so it was like chocolate down her back.
Edmondia: But he mustn't touch - he mustn't touch her pretty hair.
EnsTren: The silky fine strands with just a little bit of gold in them.
Edmondia: He pinned a glare on his twitching fingers.
EnsTren: He could ask... later. She had already pushed herself enough for now--to actually move closer to him of her own volition.
Edmondia: So brave, hikari...
EnsTren: "I wish... you didn't have to be so brave," he murmered, "That... there was... no reason for your to have to be brave, no strain on that great heart of yours."
Edmondia: He shouldn't want to nuzzle her hair the way he did.
EnsTren: He must learn to control himself. It was his lack of control that had damaged her.
Edmondia: So he must be very, very, very careful. And always ask before touching any pretty part of her.
EnsTren: Because even when he asked sometimes she cried.
Edmondia: She cried so often...
EnsTren: He saw in her memories somtimes... that she didn't cry then.
EnsTren: Even locked in that dark tiny room with her own blood and a pitcher of water and some bread... she didn't cry then.
Edmondia: But... maybe now she knew that it was okay to cry?
EnsTren: After that horrid thing he did to her, because... she became a woman, he'd expect hikari to be afraid of the dark and of small places too.
EnsTren: But hikari's chimneys were safe places to her, dark and small and safe.
EnsTren: Someday, he hoped, she would feel safe in his darkness.
Edmondia: It was hers.
EnsTren: More hers than the chimneys.
Edmondia: It was meant to protect her.
EnsTren: Not frighten her.
Edmondia: Never meant to frighten her.
EnsTren: To protect and cherish, yes, never frighten, never hurt.
Edmondia: ...she did know that, didn't she?
EnsTren: How could she? He touched her (damn that deal he cut with her), he frightened her.
Edmondia: ...but she was calmer now...
EnsTren: He was... holding her!
Edmondia: And she wasn't trying to run away!
EnsTren: She had moved closer!
Edmondia: Maybe... maybe this time he had done something right?
EnsTren: And...maybe they had made progress?
Edmondia: Maybe... she let him hold her when she was crying...
Edmondia: Maybe she didn't mind him as much as she had before?
EnsTren: Maybe she was conquring her fear?
Edmondia: Maybe she... was starting to like him?
EnsTren: Maybe everything was going to be okay after all.
Edmondia: Maybe... maybe she would let him take care of her? Just - just a little?
EnsTren: He was holding her.
Edmondia: She wasn't running away.
EnsTren: She had moved closer... she wasn't shaking as much!
Edmondia: That had to be good.
EnsTren: He smiled for her.
Edmondia: She was so pretty...
EnsTren: Very delicate.
Edmondia: Very strong.
EnsTren: He felt as if he weren't careful he would break her.
Edmondia: He already almost had.
EnsTren: Almost shattered and broken her into a hundred thousand pieces. Not even Gozaburo had managed that.
Edmondia: His lips twisted bitterly. Yay for him.
EnsTren: Not even cousin could do that to her, because if he had broken her she wouldn't want to come back together.
Edmondia: ...he couldn't apologize again, hikari was being so soft and quiet, he didn't want to startle her.
EnsTren: Hikari was beautiful. All soft and light and claws and fangs.
EnsTren: Was she leaning against him, just a little?
Edmondia: He held his breath and bit his tongue and prayed.
EnsTren: Yes, just a little, all soft and relaxed and trusting him.
Edmondia: He must not kiss her! No no no no no!
EnsTren: Not even her hair.
EnsTren: Because that would break the delicate picture, and the even more delicate trust.
Edmondia: ...but she was so pretty...
EnsTren: She wasn't pretty when she cowered away from him though.
Edmondia: So he had to stay still.
EnsTren: And he kept reminding himself of how frightened she would be if he kissed her.
EnsTren: How she would cry and he might not be able to hold her hand later.
Edmondia: And he would definitely not be able to hold her like this again.
EnsTren: All their progress would be ruined.
Edmondia: It was only that which managed to hold him still.
EnsTren: For her.
Edmondia: Anything and everything for her.
EnsTren: He breathed for her, his heart beat for her. No matter what cousin thought it was for her.
Edmondia: ...she was so soft and warm...
EnsTren: So bright.
EnsTren: She wasn't crying now, and she was letting him touch her, was willing to let him touch her while he made her feel better.
Edmondia: He was making her feel better.
EnsTren: He felt longing inside of her. When was the last time anyone had held her after she cried? Someone who was to care for her and not she for them?
Edmondia: He would take care of her, he must.
EnsTren: So she could smile again.
Edmondia: Anything for her smile.
EnsTren: She suddenly moved, head slumping against his shoulder, falling into a light doze.
Edmondia: ...eek! What was he supposed to do now?
EnsTren: Be very still and be a good pillow apprently.
Edmondia: He could manage that... oh dear, what should he do with his hands?
EnsTren: Not touch her boobies was the obvious thing, or her booty which was filling out nicely.
Edmondia: Maybe... he could hold her waist, instead? His arm was starting to cramp.
EnsTren: He slooooowly let his arm dip down, and tucked his hand against her waist, not her tummy and definitely not hip or thigh.
Edmondia: Soft curvy yummy hikari.
EnsTren: But he wouldn't tell her that--at least not in those words, she might take it... well how it was meant, sexual interest. But hikari wasn't ready for that yet.
Edmondia: He would just hold her until she woke up, and be very good and not touch and try to ignore the soft hair tumbling over his shoulder.
EnsTren: He inhaled her scent. Hikari used yummy shampoo.
Edmondia: ...she trusted him enough to sleep on him!
EnsTren: Or maybe she was just exhausted.
Edmondia: Either way... she was dozing in his arms of her own free will.
EnsTren: A broad grin split his face.
Edmondia: Yay!
EnsTren: He would dance but it would wake her up.
Edmondia: So he settled for grinning wildly to himself and doing a victory dance... in his head.
EnsTren: Which was good because it didn't wake her up, nor did he risk cousin finding him and laughing at him.
Edmondia: Wouldn't cousin be happy for him?
EnsTren: Yes, but not at the funny victory dance.
Edmondia: ..cousin was weird.
EnsTren: If he knew it would do any good he'd put a cobra in cousin's bed.
Edmondia: Stupid cobras that liked cousin.
EnsTren: And hated him just like everyone else and tried to bite him because cousin put it in his bed.
Edmondia: Cousin wasn't supposed to do things like that!
EnsTren: Just like cousin wasn't supposed to push the boat he was on down the Nile.
EnsTren: They had been playing hide and seek and he thought he was so clever hiding curled up under a bench in a boat. And cousin had spied him and untied the boat and kicked it off the dock.
Edmondia: ...cousin was mean to him!
EnsTren: Cousin had LAUGHED at him.
Edmondia: Why had cousin done that? It wasn't funny!
EnsTren: It wasn't funny how he got stuck and wasn't able to scramble out from under in time to jump back to the dock--or anywhere near it.
Edmondia: It wasn't funny that he'd had to swim back.
EnsTren: Because there were always crocodiles in the mother river, and what did hikari say they were called now? Hippo somethings. Water horses.
Edmondia: He bit his lip. Why had cousin done that?
EnsTren: They ate plants but could savage a man with their huge teeth, and what's worse, crocodiles took one man down to drown and eat, the water horses did not stop.
EnsTren: Cousin... had sent for people to help fish him out, though.
Edmondia: Cousin... had hugged him when he came back.
EnsTren: He had been so afraid.
Edmondia: ...cousin...
EnsTren: Was a vicious little bastard and hikari was getting revenge for him by being uptight and much much richer and of higher social standing in this life.
Edmondia: ...but cousin loved him.
EnsTren: Hopefully.
Edmondia: Cousin had been happy to see him again... right?
EnsTren: Then why had he done that to him?
Edmondia: ...cousin was very dark.
EnsTren: Cousin frightened his hikari, maybe even more than he did.
Edmondia: But cousin was - was special, was dark and warm and... confusing...
EnsTren: And put cobras in his bed.
Edmondia: But cousin kept the nightmares away...
EnsTren: Cousin gave him a few nightmares too.
Edmondia: ...what was cousin?
EnsTren: Frightening.
EnsTren: And sometimes stupid.
EnsTren: How could he take care of cousin if he was dead?
Edmondia: ...cousin confused him.
EnsTren: He didn't like doubting cousin.
Edmondia: He wasn't used to doubting cousin.
EnsTren: He didn't like it.
Edmondia: He wanted to be sure of him again.
EnsTren: He remembered when he had been angry at cousin, because of the boat prank.
EnsTren: He had studied greatly and worked very hard and refused to play with him.
Edmondia: He hadn't liked it.
EnsTren: Cousin ordered him to play.
Edmondia: He hadn't liked that, either.
EnsTren: Cousin had made guards drag him out to play with him.
Edmondia: He'd screamed at cousin for that.
EnsTren: The guards had hit him for that.
Edmondia: Cousin had killed three guards for that.
EnsTren: He still hadn't played with cousin.
Edmondia: Cousin had been mad at him for that.
EnsTren: Cousin h-had...
Edmondia: H-had...
EnsTren: ...Cousin had never used shadows on him before.
Edmondia: But cousin apologized...
EnsTren: But cousin didnt want to play when he had shakily agreed to cousin's demands.
Edmondia: Cousin had hugged him instead.
EnsTren: And he had asked very quietly if he could go back into his room, please?
Edmondia: Atemu had let him... after holding him so tight it was hard to breathe.
EnsTren: He had been afraid of cousin and went into the city with his scribe's box desk the next day.
EnsTren: He had written letters and the like for people in exchange for money, and kept his head low, all his hair hidden under a wig, so no one saw his eyes.
Edmondia: Cousin had looked for him that day.
EnsTren: He had saw cousin run right past him.
Edmondia: He wondered why he hadn't just scented him out - they both smelled like the Shadows, after all.
EnsTren: He had wanted so badly to hide though.
Edmondia: But cousin hadn't found him that day.
EnsTren: Or the next.
Edmondia: Cousin had stopped looking after that.
EnsTren: He had hidden for one more day, because a nice woman said she needed something and would have the money tomorrow.
EnsTren: He had come home to the palace after three days and casually positioned himself where he knew Atemu would see him eventually.
EnsTren: (leaving now)
Edmondia: Atemu was very good at tackling.
Edmondia: (baibai)
EnsTren: (baibai)
