Environmentally Friendly Fungus and Disease Sprays

1. Vinegar Fungicide:

Mix 3 tablespoons of natural apple cider vinegar in 4.5 litres of water. Spray in the early morning or evening.

2. Baking Soda Fungicide:

Mix 1 teaspoon of agricultural oil and 4 teaspoons of baking soda in 4.5 litres of water. Spray lightly to treat powdery mildew and black spots.

3. Slugs and snails:

Sprinkle cayenne pepper around plant.

4. Aphids:

Dissolve 50g of soap (preferably of vegetable origin) in hot water and dilute in 4.5 litres of cold water for spraying. Apply a total of 3 times with 2 days break in between spraying.

5. Coddling moths:

Mix equal portions of vinegar, treacle and water in a container and hang on the tree, mainly for apples.
