U.S.A. Road Trip |
![]() |
Your family is getting ready to plan the annual week-long road trip. You are not looking forward to the trip, because you are so sick of the boring places your parents choose to visit. Suprisingly, this year your parents have agreed to let you plan the trip, if you can get your entire family to agree on your choice of travel. Your father is concerned about the cost of the trip. He doesn't like wasteing money and would like to keep the trip for four between three and four thousand dollars. Your mother is hoping you will learn facts about each state's history, major products and industries, and major physical features, and some other simple facts(like the state's motto, bird etc.) so that you are better prepared for school in September. Your older sister is thinking about moving away from home soon, but does not want to live in a large city. She is concerned that if the population is too high, she will have a hard time finding a sevice related job. It would be great if she could find some carreer ideas while she's on this trip. You just want to relax and have some fun. You are looking for the most enjoyable activity you can find. |

Your job is to research and gather information about each state, then create five (5) attractive travel brochures for five (5) different states in the USA. You may pick any five states, but you must always be aware of your families concerns. Also, your trip must include a visit to the capital city of each state. |

Print out a copy of mother and father's interests and sister and your interest organizer sheet. Complete the organizers as you are searching the web for information. You will then use them to help you create your brochures. Your grade will depend on your completion of the organizers, the five different brochures, and the neatness and accuracy of the content contained on the brochure. |
