Christmas at

Edwin's House

Dining Room

When my mother was deciding what color to paint the dining room, she looked through tons of magazines and came down to two choices, a green and an orange.  Orange being one of my favorite colors, I hoped that she would pick that.  Well, she did and the dining room has turned out to be one of the most beautifully decorated rooms in our home.  Tim's mother had a collection of blue and white dinnerware, so we decorated the room with blues.  So, when it came to decorate for Christmas, I chose blues and a little silver to add that Christmasy feel.

The table is very understated, so the decorations are as well.  Just a simple centerpiece with some blue balls and silver stars.

This is the North side of the Dining room.

The china cabinet belonged to Tim's parents and I kept with the understated tones of the wood by placing fresh ivy that I cut from the fence in our yard.

This is the South wall of the dining room.  Here are some items that my mother has collected and we placed them on this buffet.  I placed a garland containing 100 white lights and ornaments of blue and silver as well as silver painted pine cones over the mirror.

This is another picture of the mirror and my favorite picture from the house.

My favorite thing to decorate is a chandelier.  For this one I took some more clippings from a pine tree and added some silver snowflake ornaments and silver ribbon.
