Christmas at

Edwin's House

Edwin's Bedroom

My bedroom is decorated with oranges, browns, and greens year round.  So, for Christmas I stuck with this color scheme.

My Christmas Tree is my favorite one in the house.  It is 6 ft. tall and I have adorned it with 800 gold miniature lights and 200 white lights for a total of 1000.  I know it's hard to tell from the photographs, but this tree simply sparkles and is on display for everyone who passes by (which is the entire town, as we live very near downtown Walnut Ridge).  Balls of orange, brown, and green form the foundation and rustic ornaments finish out the theme.  I also used orange and brown ribbons and a twig garland.  My collection of Li Bien ornaments from Pier 1 can also be found on my tree.  I started the collection in 2001 and will continue it for many years to come.

My armoire is decorated with a faux garland that I adorned with gold balls, pinecones, and some cattails and wheat that can also be found topping out my Christmas tree.  Crocheted snowflakes, gold ribbon, and 100 white lights finish off this garland.

I purchased this medallion when I worked at Pier 1 and thought I would make a wreath out of pine twigs and berries that I found in my yard.

My chandelier has orange and clear beads all year long.  So, I accentuated this with some fresh greenery, brown ribbons, and more of the crocheted snowflakes.

My bedside lamps felt left out after they saw the chandelier, so I made simple sprays of pine twigs adorned with a pine cone for them.
