Christmas at

Edwin's House

Mother's Bedroom

Since all of the other bedrooms in the house have a Christmas Tree, mother and Tim's needed one also.  Floor space is at a premium in their room as their furniture is massive.  So, I took a 3 ft. tree and placed it on her chest-of-drawers.  Mother's bedroom color scheme is reds, so her tree got red ribbons, balls, and poinsettias with some snowflakes.  The tree has only 100 red lights, as mother likes her bedroom to be more calm and subdued than I.  I wanted to create a snowy effect, so I sprayed the tree with artificial snow in key areas.

Mother's bed was adorned with the Christmas quilt that she purchased a few years back.  Austin has a matching quilt on his bed.

Hanging above the bed is a sketch of Austin.  I highlighted the artwork with a garland of fresh pine and pinecones.

I placed an artificial garland containing 100 white lights and 100 red lights on top of mother's armoire.  I finished off the garland with pine cones, red balls, and just a touch of fresh pine.  A ceramic nativity set finishes out the top of the furniture.
