DEAR BOFANG, |
|
Aug 1, 2001 Dear Bofang,
I constantly receive the messages regarding the reunion trip to Canada,
and am very glad to discover that you are finally making it happening.
However, I feel much regret at being unable to attend such a great
event. Hopefully, the 30th anniversary reunion trip can be arranged
here in Australia. I definitely will not be absent for that then.
As Watson Liu said, “Some classmates are already retired, some
semi-retired and some still working hard for their career.” As I emigrated
from Taiwan to Australia in the early 1990, I unfortunately fall into the
third category. As I had to start off from scratch, I am thus still working
quite hard and dreaming to retire in the near future. Coming up soon, I am
occupied by three trade shows that I have to attend. Two are in August and the
other one in September 2001, those shows involve electrical accessories and
shopping carts. I considered joining your trip, but those peanut businesses
really hold me back. Sorry.
I am also aware of Hsu Yarsun’s return to Taiwan. Please do say hello
to him and ask him why he didn’t show up in Sydney last September during the
Olympic period as he had promised. I am disappointed that he didn’t come to
see me. Hope you have a very pleasant trip to Canada and keep me informed regarding all activities. Finally, I would like to welcome all old friends to come visit Sydney. Please do contact me. Regards, |
