Eternally Secure!

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son,
much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
- Romans 5:10 -

Before we became Christians we believed that if we were good enough we would get to heaven. But it's odd how many Christians believe that we have to maintain our own salvation, and they are forever worried that maybe someday they might lose it. And so they are never assured of their salvation. Doesn't that make them little better than those who never truly trusted in Jesus, who think we are saved and kept saved by our own efforts? Doesn't that say that the 'eternal life' they say profess to have may not be that eternal after all? But the Bible has better words regarding this! It tells us we who truly believe have eternal life that never ends (Jn 3:16). It assures us that He who saved us by His death will keep us saved by the life that He lives forever (Rom 5:10), and that nobody can snatch us from His hand (Jn 10:28)! It promises that Christ will be with us forever (Matt 28:20) and will never leave us (Heb 13:5)! We who believe are secure, my friend. Eternally secure! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise
