Don't you know the sun is always
there even when the rain falls?
Don't you know the Son will always care when He hears your voice call?
And so goes the song.
There are times in my struggle when I cannot see the Lord. I am wet
and cold. And hungry - hungry for rest and release. But I
almost hear a voice, saying, "A little while more."
I may not see the sun, but it is there! I may not feel its warmth,
but do I doubt its presence? It is there shining high and mighty
just beyond the cloud! Clouds will come and go, and no cloud lasts
forever, but only for a time. And when it passes, the sun will be
revealed in all its glory. Its rays will break through the cloud and
turn it to gold. The cold rain will cease and the wet ground will
turn into something of such great beauty that the landscape itself will be
transformed before my eyes - changed so much that I wonder why I never saw
it before. What was gloomy and cold is now sparkling with jewels of
dew and bursting with life! But only when it has passed through the
rain.
Perhaps I did not see it because I saw it in a different light - under the
shadow of the cloud. But if I am patient I shall see the new land
under the light of the sun, and my sight and life will be transformed as
well.
Don't you fret now, child. Don't you worry.
The rain's to help you grow so don't try to hurry the storm along.
The hard times make you strong.
And so ends the song.
