Born in 1961 in Chicago Virginia Madsen's first film role was in Class, where her left breast made an impression! The following year she appeared in David Lynch's ambitious, but flawed sci-fi film Dune, and showed her romantic comedy chops in Electric Dreams. She went on to become one of the hottest stars of the mid-1980s, and with her mixed genes (her father is Danish-American; her mother is Irish-American and Aboriginal American) and mismatched green/brown eyes, she was voted as one of the most beautiful actresses in 1986. But it wasn't all about how hot she was (despite the fact that she was very, very hot). Virginia also had several excellent performances to her credit by the end of the decade.

While her career did not maintain its high profile far into the 1990s, Virginia remained a busy actress. She belongs to a showbusiness family, with her brother Michael Madsen (Resevoir Dogs, Kill Bill) and her mother Elaine, an Emmy-winning writer and producer. Her role in Sideways put her back centre-stage in the mid 2000s, and we here at Euroeros are thankful for that!

Virginia Madsen Quotes
"When you say no a lot as an actor, you're going to go broke, and that's been the hardest thing to go through in the last 10 years. Being a single mother and having financial problems is a nightmare."

"I didn't like the kind of movies I was making, I didn't like my career, which seemed to be on this train that was just speeding in the wrong direction, so I had to stop everything or I wouldn't have been able to recover it and it's taken me 10 years to be where I want."
