The RAF Museum

is Britain's National Museum of Aviation. It was opened in November 1972 by Her Majesty The Queen.
The Museum stands on 15 acres of the historic former Hendon Aerodrome at RAF Hendon, one of the oldest aviation centres in the country. This airfield was used as a fighter station during the Battle of Britain and then as a transport station for the remainder of World War II.
From a total collection of well over 200 aircrafts, some 70 full-size aeroplanes are displayed under cover at Hendon.

The RAAF Museum

is located in Point Cook, Victoria near RAAF Williams airbase.
It is dedicated to preserving the heritage and traditions of the Royal Australian Air Force.

The RMAF Museum

is located in the RMAF Base complex in Kuala Lumpur.
It was officially opened to the public on 2 June 1985 coinciding with the 27th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. The collection/display of aircrafts depicts the history of the RMAF.

The RNZAF Museum

is the national museum of New Zealand Military Aviation.
It is located in the country's oldest military flying field at Wigram, near Christchurch. The museum is a memorial to all those who have served, and those who died, in New Zealand and allied flying missions.

The  Imperial War Museum ( Duxford )

is not only firmly established as Europe's top aviation museum but also steeped in history.
As a Battle of Britain fighter station, and later as as American 8th Air Force Base, Duxford played a vital role in the second World War. During the Battle of Britain, this famous wartime Fighter Command airfield used to launch its Spitfires against the aerial might of the Luftwaffe.  Today, as part of the Imperial War Museum, Duxford is the centre for historic aviation.

If you happen to be in London, why not spend some time at this great museum which is just south of the picturesque university town of Cambridge at junction 10 of the M11. Other attractions include the whole IWM complex, including the award-winning American Air Museum.

The MAPS Air Museum

is a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating people about the history of aviation and its impact upon society. The primary goal supporting this mission is building a permanent collection of vintage military and significant civilian aircrafts, and preserving these historical aircrafts in airworthy condition.
Founded in 1990, and since that time, MAPS has leased a 16,000 square foot building located next to a taxiway on the west side of the Akron-Canton Regional Airport in Ohio. Admission and parking are free.

The Monino Air Force Museum ( Russia )

is located in Monino, Moscow region ( near the 38th kilometre of Gorky Highway ). It takes about 1 hour to get there from Moscow by car, bus or train. For foreign visitors, it is necessary to book the pass in advance. You can phone (095) 526-3327 for additional information.

The National Aviation Museum of Canada

is located in Ottawa. This museum is a treasure- trove of aviation.

The National Warplane Museum

is located in Horseheads, New York in the Elmira-Corning area. Unlike the USAF Museum where eagles rest, this museum restores the warplanes of World War II, Korea and Vietnam and maintain them in flying condition.
Why ? you may ask .They did it, so that future generations may understand the sacrifices that these veteran airmen made to preserve peace and freedom.

The United States Air Force Museum

is located near Dayton, Ohio closeby to Wright-Patterson AFB. It is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world where over 250 aircrafts are displayed. Over one and a half million visitors from around the world come to Ohio each year to tour this unique free attraction.
So make it a point to visit this great museum when you are passing by in Dayton.
