Prologue~ Elwynn Eleanor

Where does my future lead?

No one dares to tell me

No matter how much I plead.

My future, as vague as the sea,

No one dares to enter

No matter how much I beg.

Should I be alone forever?

And give up the future that I vow never to renege?

Where does my future go?

Will the person whom I love come to me?

Or will he be my foe?

My future… All I can do is wait and see…

            The bar was filled by this melancholy melody. The singer, whose name was Elwynn Eleanor, was on the stage with her piano. From the place where people drank, it was impossible to see her face. Her voice continued to echo throughout the room. Drunk ones were all listening to her beautiful song. Her chant was very sweet and gentle. It was very hard to hear such a voice during the time of war. Her melody, to those soldiers, was the one thing that saved them from having nightmare at night. She was like an angel singing to save their blooded soul. Those people continued to listen to her music without knowing the danger that will soon come to them…

            At the back of the bar, a girl walked out of there. She was the singer in the bar. She flipped her long straight light pink hair to her back and went out of there in silence. When the light of the road shined, it revealed her face. She looked younger than her voice. Her cerulean eyes stared at the bar, and she closed her cold eyes for few seconds. Her white skin reflected the light that shinned on her, and that light made her glowing. She was wearing a light blue short dress and an ocean blue jacket-like cloth. Her arms had weird form silver bracelets. The same thing was found on her legs. Her boots were high heels, and her gloves were short ones. No matter how you looked at her, she didn’t seem like a bar singer. She looked more like a normal girl. She walked out of the light and headed to the dark alley.

            She stopped walking when she heard the sounds of screams. She pretended as if nothing happened and continued her walking. Polices arrived to the place where the scream took place. All they saw was corpses all lying on the ground of the bar.

            Here the world was separated into five countries: Lorigen, Ralkilan, Valkyrie, Salkerye, and Walkure. Lorigen was known as the technology country. Their military forces and weapons were most developed out of all countries. In terms of battle, Lorigen was the strongest one. It didn’t have a specified landscape so it was very industrial. Ralkilan was the desert country. There wasn’t any big city in there except the city where the castle was. It was the poorest country of all and couldn’t afford to pay for any military forces. Although it was pitiable, it had an ultimate advantage over the other countries. The desert that surrounded it hid them from the others.

            Valkyrie was the forest country. All its sceneries were of trees and grass. People there were experts in archery. They moved so fast that you could barely see their shadow. The people from there did not train for war like in Lorigen. They were the most peaceful country out of them five. Salkerye was the water country. It lied deep within the ocean so no one could enter without permission. Small islands covered the whole area of the country. However, the castle and the most important cities were all underwater. Legend said that this country was exiled people from other places. They had no land that they could walk on so they developed a country under water. All of them were able to be under water for days of time without having to go to the surface of oxygen. Walkure was the most mysterious country of all. Although it was said to be in the mountains, it was very rare to find the position of the castle. The people from there did not care about other people’s doing and lived on their own like they were separated from the other four countries.

            The whole world was in a circulated form. It was most likely in a crescent shape because Salkerye was covered by ocean. The land was centred and surrounded by water. Ralkilan, which was in the south, was enclosed by Lorigen on its left and by Valkyrie on its right. It the east was Salkerye and the islands. The north was Walkure with its mountains that reached to the clouds. In the middle of all countries, there was an island. It was called Kronos Sanctuary. It was the only place that battle wasn’t permitted. Kronos was considered as the sixth country. In there, most of the people were Priest or Priestess. They had to assure the protection of the sacred documents. It only permitted those who had the chance to become a servant of God to enter, no matter what nationality they were. There had a school that let children study the arts of fighting and of power until the age of eighteen. After that age, they would decide if they should remain in this island or not.

            Presently, Lorigen was planning fro war. Nobody knew what country they were planning to attack. Soldiers were all gathering in the borders of the land as if they were all going out. That thing alerted all other countries. Ralkilan brought all children to their underground hideout. Salkerye prepared their army and so did Valkyrie. The mystifying Walkure did not react to that. War was about to start, and people feared of it.

            In city Assalut of Lorigen, people were hiding in their house. Soldiers were all over the city in inns and bars. Today, the most crowed place was a bar. In there was nothing more than corpses. Their body was sliced, and their blood deserted them. This was the fifth time that people were killed at that state. Nobody knew what happened. The ones who were killed were all soldiers or military forces. There was neither evidence nor suspect. That didn’t stop them from continuing to gather the army. Nevertheless, they were still persuading to find the assassin. They called Kronos Law Enforcement, an association that killed lawless people, to solve this crime. When they heard of it, Kronos L.E. immediately took the job. Of course, governor of Lorigen had to pay an incredible large amount of money for this.

            As soon as those people arrived to the land, they searched in every house, apartment, store, everywhere that had enough place to hide on person. They had no luck because as the moment they stepped on the land, Elwynn Eleanor had already acted out her escape plan. She couldn’t afford to be seen here. She couldn’t afford to be caught by those people. After all, they were all searching for her. She secretly disguised herself, as one of the people from Kronos Law Enforcement and sneaked into the ship in which those people came. The people from Kronos L.E. were only hired for three days, so once they finished, they would return to their homeland. People usually said that the most dangerous place was also the most safe. That was the country that wanted her life; therefore, it would become natural for her to hide there. Kronos Sanctuary… The one place that she feared… Her homeland, and her most hatred memory…
