Gary is Professor Oak's grandson and has become Ash's rival when they both decided to become Pokemon trainers.
Gary and Ash used to be good friends. Aww.
They both live in Pallet Town and each want to represent it. I think, hence the rivalry, duh.
Gary is kinda up himself, but I completely understand, I mean I'd be the same if I were him. He's supposed to be a jerk, me no think so. He's an excellent Pokemon trainer and looks cool.
He only has it in for Ash, and it could actually be a slight encouragement towards Ash to want to train harder, he does always seem to compare himself to Gary.
Anyway, I think Gary's the perfect Pokemon trainer much better than Ash.

Japanese name; Okido shigeru, Shigeru.
Age; 10? 10?? That can't be right, can it? Nah, can't be. He drives a car! I think he's older than Ash; He's taller and in the comics he does seem to be portraied as somewhat over the age of 10, way over.
Height; 5' 4" I think.
Hair colour; Reddish brown. ( And extremely cool. )
Eye colour; ? Black? Could be blue,....or brown or green.
