EF provides a free internet connection for teachers and students. You will also have full use of the school facilities including an ELT (ESL) resource room containing a large number of standard ELT resource materials, course books and teacher support materials, photocopying facilities, computer lab with CD ROMS and Computer Aided Language Learning (CALL) programs.

We use our own EF English First course as the core curriculum and teachers have a broad range of choices for choosing or designing their own supplementary materials. Our teacher resource library is more than adequate with the major series (Headway, Streetwise, Cambridge, Grapevine, etc.) as well as various specialized texts covering the four language skills. We also have a good selection of listening and video materials. Over 100 popular activities have been laminated to help teachers save time when preparing classes. 

Teacher development consists of regular observations, followed up with constructive one-to-one feedback and Teacher's Workshops. All schools in Surabaya run monthly Idea's Exchange Workshops where teachers voluntarily present successful activities, approaches, etc. Less frequently, workshops are conducted on specialized areas - such as the introduction of a new course or a major change in operations.
