In sharp contrast to the conditions in Italy the weekend before where the conditions were fast and dry, Tong Hall was wet, slow and muddy. I was again riding a different bike and this time I was trying out a large IMS tank from Roy Kerr at Dirt Bike Depot. I knew that I'd struggle for maybe a lap as I adapted to the changes having not been on the bike through the week but in truth I never adapted and really struggled throughout the race. I got a poor start and didn't make any progress in the early laps. I just kept trying and eventually I pulled through to 7th. I made my fastest lap on lap 14 when everybody else was fastest on lap 2. I'm glad that I didn't injure myself as I really didn't feel comfortable but at the same time I'm really disapointed with my performance. David Knight won by margin from Ed Jones who seemed to go well in the conditions. For the next Fast Eddy I will have time to make better preparations as the world rounds will have finished. Look at a Culham as I'm not happy with finishing so far down the results.
