"Clean Water Petition"

We, residents of New York State, petition you, our representitives, to design, propose, and enact a law requiring Total VOC testing of all water supplied to residents, businesses, schools, and other places where the public might gather. This testing must be required both before a Certificate of Occupancy can be issued for a new residence or business, as well as when a change of ownership occurs to a residence or business. Additionally, this testing, in areas where contamination is discovered, must also be performed no less than annually or more frequently if the levels of contamination would require it. This testing is necessary to protect the health of all peoples living or visiting the state; therefore, the testing must be performed by inspectors from State, County, or Local Health Departments as applicable.
