Dossier:
Baron Egan MacShane O’Quinn, Ph. D
A Player Character on Cajun Nights who just happens to bear a passing resemblance to Adrian Paul of Highlander the Series
DOB: 12 Sept, 1972 Place of Birth: Glenariff, Antrim Co, N. Ireland
Only Known Living Relation: Mother - Lady Katherine Amanda MacShane O’Quinn, Baroness of Red Cliff Castle
Brief Professional History: Tutored at home until age 18, he enrolled in Cambridge. After graduation Sigma Cum Laude he was accepted at the Universite’ d’Orleons where, under the tutelage of the renowned historian an author Claire de’Masse, Egan earned his doctorates in history and education. Upon completion of his post graduate work Egan accepted a position at the University of Belfast. After a brief but apparently successful professorship he accepted a position at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. His two years at Tulane have also apparently been successful.
Personal Notes: It seems this young genius with the charming smile has more than made up for his professional successes with personal failures and tragedies. The younger son of the Lord of Red Cliff he stood to inherit no titles and but a pension from the family’s reportedly considerable fortune. Rumors at the time claimed his relationship with Ms de’Masse was not strictly professional. True or not it is believed his father pressured him to return to Antrim primarily to separate the two. His brief marriage to the lovely socialite Abigail MacAllister ended tragically when her life was lost shortly after the loss of their unborn daughter, Duana Abigail O'Quinn. It is believed grief led Prof O’Quinn to seek a new life elsewhere but it’s anyone’s guess what led him to Tulane and New Orleans. Those who thought it fate pointed to the sudden relationship and marriage to the writer Jennie Logan. But this relationship too ended unhappily when the couple divorced within the first year. Though no official documents contain reasons for the divorce some point to the physical similarities between Jennie and Abigail, others to the whirlwind nature of their brief romance. The recent deaths of his father and brother in a tragic automobile accident near the family home in Glenariff suddenly thrust unexpected titles and fortune on the man.
Recently the Baron has accululated an eclectic group of known associates, from Drs Tasah Alistan and Illya Rashid to Chef Aellix Tyre and the divorcee Tally Gissing, from Business persons Kendis White and Aurora Cameron, Sgt Luc Legrasse of NOPD to Karis Sinclair and the Exotic dancers Tabitha Vowels and Saralee Jensen. Dr O'Quinn has in the recent past been linked romantically with Karis and Tally, and though he and Tally seem to have maintained a close relationship his most recent paramour, Saralee, has not seen with him in months.
