Donor Brick Program
Personalized engraved bricks are a very popular, and high yielding
fundraising product. Easy to manage, fundraising directors do not have to be
experts in construction, bricks, tiles or engraving to run a successful
campaign. Directors should have plenty of time to do what they do best, promote and
collect donations.
There are different ways to approach your brick design. Some go with a
simple walkway all in red brick. Others will include patterns of differently
colored brick in a field of red brick, diamonds, chevrons (pattern of 4
brick), and other additions like granite plaques can be strategically placed
in the design. The advantage is that every variation provides for different
pricing to the donor. For example, the standard background red brick may
sell for $100, a brick in the diamond pattern $200, a complete chevron $500,
etc.
Engraving costs are $12 for up to two lines, and $16 for three. There is a maximum
of 15 characters per line. Granite engraving fees will be estimated at
start-up.
Your cost to purchase the brick can be from 45 cents to $2 each. As you can
see there is a significant profit in each engraved brick to the
organization. Many organizations find volunteers to lay the brick, but a
rule of thumb for an installer is about $1.25 per brick. Not all brick have
to be engraved before being laid, an ongoing replacement program works well.
