| Apache (a-PATCH-ee) County was created February 24, 1879 with Snowflake as the seat. Later that year, it was moved to Saint Johns where it stayed until 1880. Springerville became the seat then and in 1882, the county seat moved back to Saint Johns, where it remains today. | |||||||||||||||||||
