The birds seen in this picture are the Scarlet Ibis. This is the National bird of Trinidad. This photo was taken at the Wildfowl Trust in Pointe-a-Pierre Trinidad.
This is my very good friend Ferenc and I holding up a dry piece of the Pitch Lake when we went to see this natural wonder. The Pitch lake is in the Southern part of the island in La Brea.
This is another picture from the Pitch Lake and here you can see that it is not solid in all areas. The man in the photo was our tour guide.
This is the wonderful view as we approached Maracas Bay. It's my favorite beach in Trinidad because it has huge waves. We spent a lot of time here and Fraser got his first dip in sea water here.
This picutre was one of the favorites from our eight rolls of film that we used. It is a picture, but we made it look like a post card by adding the text to it. This is in our sister isle Tobago at Fort George. It's a historic site that was the fort for the different countries that owned us in the past. The name came from the British as they were the last to use it. We are now an independent twin island Republic.
This is me on a cannon at the same fort, with the ocean in the background. You get quite a view when you're up here and it also has a light house.
This is Store Bay in Tobago. It's just minutes away from the local airport and the water is lovely. Ferenc and I took a tour of the Coral Reef on the glass-bottom boat you see with the orange and blue.
Here I am at the Nylon Pool during the Coral Reef tour. This is another natural wonder that we have. The water is totally clear and it reaches to about shoulder level for me (5ft 8in). We saw some amazing fish when we snorkelled in the reef.
