Breeding your Egyptan

When your Egyptan is an adult -- and NOT before -- you can apply to have them paired with another Egyptan. You do NOT have to be the caretaker of both of them, you can ask for a specific tribe to mate with.

If you DO take care of both, they must be on their OWN pages, since each tribe requires their own style of page. But what would be best? A page describing the pair as they meet. If the mood is right -- nothing smutty, if your grandmother and 6 year old brother can't read it is NOT right -- I'll send out a certificate indicating the names of the mated pair.

Egyptan on Zekira do not mate for life, but they can if they wish. They
cannot be bred to their 'siblings', or their offspring. The current "random" Egyptan are all considered unrelated and can all be bred.

Basically, once I have adopted out a certain number of Egyptan, I will consider the next set of coccoons to be from a new pair. I will announce this to everyone via email. It means if you are waiting to adopt an Egyptan to mate to one you have already, it's time to start working on your page!

RULES

You MUST have at least one Egyptan to breed. If you have a female, you may choose her mate from any tribe. If it is a male, I will choose the mate unless someone else volunteers their female. If you have both of them on your site, that's that!

The Egyptan MUST be an adult, and you MUST have gotten them from the Zekiran center (this page, not the original site). I cannot keep track of all the people who have gotten Egyptans from Jona's site, as she could never be able to track mine here. So this way I know that you actually adopted them properly, and did not take them from someone else. Sorry, that's the way it is...

You may join the
Yahoo Group for Egyptan Breeders, and there you can give the information below. You can also meet up with others who are fans of the Egyptis, exchange ideas, or find mates.

Send me an email requesting your Egyptan for breeding. You MUST include your name/online id; the Egyptan's name and gender; the Egyptan's WORKING URL; and your WORKING email. If any of these are missing I will send it back to you. If it's all good, I'll send a certificate.

When an adopter wants to breed their Egyptan, they may reserve up to ONE of the cubs which come from their nest. (That means if you have both parents, you still only have ONE reserved. If there are two adoptors, one EACH can reserve one.)

Once your Egyptan is breeding, you may decide to have a certain number of cubs. Below is listed the typical quantities of cubs from certain females. A female Egyptan can have several nests of cubs, based on which color/tribe she is. This keeps the cubs from over-populating the Desert!

Black, Dark Purple -- usually about 5 cubs, but they can breed whenever they are needed. (They don't get out much!)

Dark Blue, Blue, Light Red, Grey -- usually about 7 cubs, they can breed up to 4 times. (They're normal breeders)

Dark Red, Dark Green, Jade, White -- usually about 9 cubs, they breed only 2 times. (Exceptional, but they don't often breed)

Light Green, Purple, Sun -- usually about 11 cubs, but they can only breed ONE time at this site. (Very amazing cubs, but they don't breed very often at all)

SPECIALS
NightStar -- Only about 3 cubs, but at least 1 of them will be another Special! Can be bred as needed.
Sand -- Usually 5 cubs, will mostly be normal but there is a chance for another Special depending on the sire. Can be bred as needed.

Rain -- Often 6 cubs, with a chance to have another Special or Variation. Can be bred up to three times at this site. (based on lt blue)
