WELCOME TO EHS VOCAL MUSIC!

FACT 1: High school music students score higher on SATs in both verbal and math than their peers. In 2001, SAT takers with coursework/experience in music performance scored 57 points higher on the verbal portion of the test and 41 points higher on the math portion than students with no coursework/experience in the arts.

Dear Elizabeth Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! I am looking forward to working with you all to continue the established tradition of excellence that exists in the vocal music department here at Elizabeth High School. I truly believe that the students who participate in the vocal music program will have an experience that will pay lifelong dividends not only in music, but in other disciplines as well.

Please use the links to the left to navigate the site. In the handbook, you will find pertinent information regarding the 2008-2009 school year. There is also a calendar of set dates for performances posted here, as well. Please make a note of these dates to avoid conflicts. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Cate at 303-646-1628.

Parents: we need your help! There are many ways you can contribute: field-trip chaperone, fundraising, help with concerts, and many more. Your involvement will make a difference!

I am looking forward to working with you all to make this a great year!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Abigail Cate
