Nepalese believe by burning the body after their death and throw the ashes to the river after burnt will make their soul leave the body and reaches the heaven to be closer to the God.

Saw this Nepalese lady wearing the traditional Shali sweeping at the steps beside the Ghat. On the Ghat, the firewood is stacking up nicely to be ready for the burning ceremony.

I was not excised when I visited Pashupatinath Temple; I was very uncomfortable when I saw the burning ceremony. There is no direct photo on the burning ceremony; I tried to capture something surrounding to describe the event. Then I saw this old man sitting in a Chaitya; his face was full of emotion and feeling of what he saw.
