Nepal

Great Little Kingdom, May 2000

Nepal's area is about 145 thousand sq. Km, there are more than one third of the country at altitude higher than 3000 meters. Out of top ten highest mountains in the world, eight of them are in Nepal. The most famous one is the Sagarmantha, or more widely knows as Everest, it is the tallest mountain in the world where the peak is at 8848m .  I spent about nine days in Annapurna Sanctuary, managed to see two great mountains, Annapurna I ( 8091m) and Dhaulagiri ( 8167m). The unique geography environment has provided a wide range of plant, bird and animal spices

Visiting Nepal has been in my wish list for long time. By chance for me to know a friend through internet and made this trip possible. Although I only spent two weeks in Nepal, but the things I saw are magnificent and interesting. July 2000
