ABW's history is lenghty and is full of loyal friends and complete dipshits. ABW started in the summer of '98 in a backyard on a trampoline with three members, Chris, Brandon and Jake. At the time we didn't have gimmicks and we didn't have a fed name. We just screwed around with cardboard belts pretending to be pros. That lasted a little while, and in February of '99 we decided to have a "real" event in Chris' living room. Well we added a few guys, it was the original three and Troy and J.J. We still didn't have gimmicks and still had cardboard belts although we had an event name, BASH AT BERDAN'S and a fed name: WWW a.k.a. Wisconsin Wide Wrestling. A couple months later in April we decided to have BASH AT BERDAN'S 2. At this point we added Matt and Steve. So seven guys and we were ready to go. Well J.J. couldn't come, so we were down to six, Brandon all but told us to fuck off, down to five, and Chris and Jake had a falling out, so we had four, Chris, Troy, Steve and Matt. Well for only four guys it turned out good. WWW BASH AT BERDAN'S 2 went on, this time we made gimmicks, Chris turned into "Mr. Hardcore", Troy turned into "Punisher", Steve became "Pebble", and Matt became "Wally Whackit". It was fun we bought those WWF toy belts and had a T.V. title, a Wisconsin title, an Intercontinental title and a World title. Steve ended up World champ and T.V. champ, and Chris was Wisconsin champ with Wally being I-C champ. Well, we didn't have wrestling again until August of '99. We had many "ppv's" that day, five total. We had storylines, with Chris and Troy teaming up and Steve and Matt teaming up. Troy's character Punisher became President, Chris and Troy became the Corporate Council, and Steve and Matt became The 69ers. We also had a name change that day we became about the 40th Extreme Hardcore Wrestling (eventhough we are neither extreme nor hardcore) we also added a guy, Luke. Needless to say Luke sucked, really sucked. Everyone except Wally won the world title that day (Wally had to clean the park for boy scouts). We got rid of the Wisconsin and T.V. titles, so we were down to 2 titles. We had many events scheduled for the rest of '99, but none happened, we were even going to have a ppv on New Years eve night that lasted through midnight, so we could say we had the last and first backyard fed to have a ppv in '99 and '00, but that never happened. We didn't have our next event until February of '00. It wasn't that good, Troy couldn't come, Luke wasn't invited, but we were gonna have three new guys show up, Carl, Justin and Tony. Well Carl showed up, but left right away to get Justin, neither of them were seen the rest of the day, but Tony did show up, and we wish we hadn't invited Tony. One he was a real dipshit, but he was also a shitty wrestler, he didn't know what an armbar was, couldn't take bump and when you wrestled him he wouldn't let you get up, wrestling Tony was more like wrestling a tree, he wouldn't move. So we waited until he left then had a somewhat eventful day. Matt won his first World title, Steve took a bad bump and got kicked in the face big time. So all in all not too bad. Then we lost our place to wrestle Chris' dad kicked everyone out of his shed where the ring was because a party Chris had became alcohol fueled. So we thought we were done...until February of '02, two years after our last event. We had four events that day, Steve was slated to show up but he didn't when we called him we got the big fuck you. So that completely fucked our storylines for that day. So to fix it we put on masks and each had two gimmicks. Chris, Matt and Troy each got the World title, with Wally's masked character Jimmy King (yes, I know real original) being I-C champ. After that day we honestly did not think we were going to have wrestling again. Chris started a band and spent all his time on that and when he wasn't playing he was working on his uncle's farm, Wally started a job at a grocery store and Troy lost interest. Well aorund July of '03 Chris and Wally decided to have a farewell match, Chris walks in with the title and Wally walks out with it. In the frontyard of Chris' house we set up the ring and had one of the best matches we were ever a part of. It lasted roughly forty-five minutes and went according to plan. That was it EHW of Arpin was over, we all grew up and out of wrestling and our backyarding days, we thought, were over. Well around December of '04 we decided to ressurect EHW, this itme since we weren't extreme we decided to change the fed to Arpin Backyard Wrestling, with just Chris and Matt wrestling with there two gimmicks each. Now here we are one 19 year old original member, one 20 year old almost original member. Somewhere in that history Chris' character Mr. Hardcore Chris Stone became 6-time World champ, and Matt's character Wally Whackit became 6-time World champ. We are back, "better" than ever, we are having twice monthly shows and one "ppv" a month. In the spring we are building a permanent Summer ring outside. So ABW is probably sticking around a while this time.
