This site website is dedicated to the memory
of Eileen Dietrich,
may her beautiful soul live on in the hearts of her loved ones for
eternity..
Eileen and I met nearly two years ago through
an online group, we hit it off
immediately. We would pass emails back and forth daily,
sometimes up to
fifty per day. Then we decided we would open our own online group,
so
that is just what we did. This decision undoubtedly brought us closer
and
I thank God everyday that he chose me out of all the people on the internet
to be Eileen's friend!
I got to visit Eileen in person one time during November of 1999. I
flew up to her
home in Pa. We spent an entire weekend laughing like children while
working on
her webpage! I'm so thankful for that one moment in time spent
with her in
"person".
Losing Eileen has been one of the hardest things that I have
ever had to endure,
although she and I were "online friends" she was and always will
be my dearest
friends. I never would have thought that I could have found such a
close friend-
ship online, but with Eileen anything was possible. My heart
breaks to think that
I'll never be able to see or talk to my friend again..I know
that it is totally selfish
and very human to want to keep our loved ones with us,
but that's something I'll
have to work on with time.
Once Eileen told me that her biggest fear about dying was the thought
that she
would leave nothing of significance behind to be remembered by. At
the time
I didn't know how to answer her, but now that she is gone and I have
had a
chance to reflect..I can honestly say that she has left a huge
mark in the lives of
so many..whether it is through her artwork or her family and friends
who are all
richer just by having known her. You see..some of the most
important footprints
that can be left behind are left in the hearts of those who
loved you..Eileen's
memory will live forever in my heart! |
