Bank Reconciliations in MYOB

- In the Banking command centre, go to Reconcile Accounts.
- Press the down arrow to see a list of accounts. Select the relevant bank account and click Use Account.
- Enter the reconciliation date of the bank statement in the Bank Statement Date field. This is the most recent date on the bank statement.
- On the bank statement received or downloaded from your Bank, check that the Calculated Statement Balance is the starting point for your reconciliation. (Draw a line on top of this amount on the bank statement).
- Enter the closing balance on the bank statement in the New Statement Balance field.
- Working from your bank statement, click in the column to the left of each transaction in MYOB as you find it and tick off the transactions on the bank statement.
- Enter bank fees, direct debits and EFTs and adjust any incorrect amounts.
- The Out of Balance amount should equal zero.
- Click Reconcile
- The message "Your account reconciles" will appear. Click Print Report to clear all marked transactions and print a summary report.
