All the animals we sell for beef are born and raised on this farm. They eat what cattle were
designed to eat, the plants at their feet or the hay that we raise. They do not eat cattle,
sheep, pig or chicken remains ground up and surreptitiously disguised in some artificial
feed.
Other than what their meat does not contain, such as herbicides, insecticides, paraciticides,
and artificial hormones, more importantly their meat does contains a full complement
of the proper proteins and the ratios of fatty acids that ensure our proper nutrition.
We sell organic beef in halves and quarters. A quarter is half of all half cuts. A quarter
averages about 120 pounds of freezer wrapped frozen beef. It takes up about 6 cubic feet
of freezer space. If a quarter is too much for you then you can always split it with a friend.
The cost for a quarter is right around $5.50 per pound or $660.00 total. The cost for a half
is around $5.00 per pound or around $1200.00 total. If you order a quarter, we will have to
pair you with another buyer to agree on and determine your desired choices in cutting,
package sizes, and leanness etc. because the processor cuts a half all the same.
Delivery within 50 miles is included in the cost. We generally need about 5 weeks lead time
for orders to reserve space and time at the processor.
