March 23 – 26th Palm Beach Boat Show

Sunday April 2 – Come-by-Land-or-Come-by-Sea Dinghy Regatta. -  Launch site:  Burt Reynolds Park, on US 1 where Loxahatchee River meets Jupiter Inlet.  We’ll rendezvous on east side of US1, where there are picnic tables, restrooms and two boat ramps—there are four ramps on the west side.  With high tide at 12:54 (low at 7 & 7) we won’t be seeing the sandbar, but that’s okay.   If you’ve got a dinghy, bring it.  If you don’t, come hop aboard someone else’s.  The Comfortably Numb will serve as Mother Ship.  We’ll work out food and drink details on March 28, but for now, just mark your calendar and plan to come… what a great way to celebrate the first day of Day Light Savings!

Sometime Before April 23rd – Commodore Cecily suggested a cruise to New River for a visit to the King Tut exhibit at the Ft. Lauderdale Museum—possibly docking Cooley’s Landing.  If you think you might be interested, “reply all” and let’s see if we can get something going.

May 3 Thru May 7 is Sunfest and Cinco De Mayo is on Friday.   Commodore Cecily suggested merging the two.  We’ll talk more about this on March 28th so bring your ideas.

June 10 Come-by-Land-or-Come-by-Sea Pool Party at Slavin’s waterfront home— Bring a dish and share the fun.  This is always a great time you won’t want to miss.

July 7 – 10 Cruise the Abacos with Island Time

September 1st Labor Day Cruise to Elliot Key – This one’s still in the planning stages.  Bring your suggestions March 28th  for one stop on the way down and another on the way back   And we’ll spend two days of  fun in the sun at beautiful Elliott.

October 14th and 15th Mariner Cove Poker Run - For 4 years now, HSCC member Bill Thompson has organized this fun event for Mariner’s Cove and HSCC.  If you don’t have a boat, no problem, they’ll put you on someone else’s boat.  Five stops, five cards, and buckets of booze… Banquet Saturday night.  Home again on Sunday.  We had a ball last year.  Mark your calendar and plan to go.
