Shape Magazine | I have a few friends who seem to
be permanently on a diet. One week they'll tell me with pride that they
have lost a few pounds and the next week they'll unhappily tell me that
they have regained their weight. When I was in high school, my good
friend was having problem with her diet. In college, my housemate often
starved herself to loose a few pounds. Now, my own sister seems to be
bothered about her weight.
One sure thing that I learned from my weight watcher's friends is that those diets that promote large amount of weight loss in a short amount of time never work! They will either regain the weight that they lost or will gain more. Well, I'm not an expert in diet or nutrition but I know that you don't have to starve yourself to drop weight. You have to be smart in choosing your food intake. Some people are lucky, no matter how much or what they eat, they never gain weight. As for myself, I don't gain weight easily, in fact the only time that I gain my weight was during my pregnancy. I guess my metabolism is high. May be my life style and eating habits have something to with it too. I think there's no harm for me to share my habits with you as long as you don't follow them bluntly. If you want expert advice, just look at some of my favorite link on the right. GOOD LUCK!!
