413. Juliania HAYNIE
was born on 21 Feb 1814 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She died on 25
Aug 1897 in Brookline, Greene County, Missouri and was buried in Clear Creek
Cemetery, Greene County, Missouri. Julia is identified, but her husband
is not, in the probate court record for her father, William S. Haynie, on 10
February 1869. This would indicated that Julia's husband was deceased at the
time.
She was married to Pike BAYLESS (son of William
Pike BAYLESS and Catherine HAIRE).
Pike BAYLESS was born on 18 Feb 1814 and he died about 1862 in Bois D'Arc,
Greene County, Missouri. In 1862, Pike was called to his door in the middle of the night,
shot and killed by by Union bushwhackers during the Civil War. Pike and his family lived
on a farm on Middle Creek a few miles out of Madisonville. It is said that Pike was a
large man, weighing about 315 lbs. Pike and his family moved to Missouri about 1857 and settled
near Bois D'Arc northwest of Springfield, Missouri.
