The Heite family data is based upon the Germanna Records, and specifically, Germanna Record No. 5. Therein, B. C. Holtzclaw
describes the scant research that produced the Heite family records, but he provides no proof that the Heite family members are
the ancestors of Peter Hitt, the 1714 immigrant to Germanna.
We would welcome any discussion or research that would assist in proving a relationship between Peter Hitt and Peter Heite and
the German Heite family. Information in our Heite computer data base will be shared.
