My testimony

I became a believer when I was 14.
A believer is a Christian- I believe that there is only one God, that He sent His Son into the world to save us and that there is only one way to heaven. ("For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16,17).

I was at Echo Ranch Bible Camp when I became a Believer. The speaker there kept repeating the
Gospel to the campers, and although I had heard it several times before, it hadn't really made an impact on me until camp. I felt the Lord had placed the Gospel on the speaker's heart so that He (God) could speak to me. My feelings were confirmed when the speaker told us in tears that he had felt a strong desire for this particular group of campers to come to know the Lord. That was normal in itself- Christians are always trying to convert people- what was not so normal was that the speaker was so concerned for our spiritual safety that he cried. I knew also that it was me that the Lord had placed on the speaker's heart, and it was because I had not made Jesus Lord of my life that the speaker repeated the Gospel so often. So on one of those nights, when the speaker made an invitation to come forward after chapel to talk and pray with a counselor, I became a believer. Others also came forward, but very few.
