My friend, Jack, got a recumbent trike, a tadpole (single drive wheel in the back and dual steering wheels in the front). I played with it for a while and I want one. It's a lot of fun, very stable, and easier and more comfortable to pedal than a conventional bicycle. It also doubles as a lawn chair.
Although the following pictures are more or less posed, we ALWAYS wear helmets when cycling. We are willing to risk bad hair days.

This is my new bicycle. My old one was stripped in Tucson just before I left. It made more sense to get a new one than fixing the old one. Although I plan to get a trike, there are places where a bicycle is better, like hanging it on the front rack of a Tucson City Bus.
The new technology is great. My friend, Tom, who runs Cycle Path in Safford set it up perfectly. Don't tell him I said that though.
