In one of those most famous, and first incidents of breaking an unspoken rule about not mentioning writers on TV, Brian Pillman said those famous words "Bookerman", meaning Kevin Sullivan. This enraged WCW, and others in the company, but I remember watching that, and thinking..."What the hell is a bookerman?" I knew wrestling was "fake" back then, but i didn't know the signifigance of it. Anyway., this has nothing to do with my column. It sort of does, but I thought it was a cool title, and that incident was, and is, one of my favorite moments in pro wrestling.

This column is about the signifigance of the "booker" and how it can go to your head, and how you have to remain impartial. Russell is THE booker. I put him there because he's got good ideas. I put myself there because I could, and that I have some good ideas. But me and Russ have different opnions on the booking side of things. So, I quit as booker, and he has been doing a great job. Every now and then, I come in and give him an idea, which he uses if he likes it.

Now, some people don't like Russ' way of booking, but let me tell you, BOOKING IS HARD! Trying to string storylines together, keeping a constant pace of good booking, making sure everyone wrestles, but not too much......it goes on and on......and on. But, Russ does a good job, and that's all I got to say about that.

Next subject....I wanna talk about the state of the company. If you are reading this, EJW will be taking a small break. Some will still be wrestling, but some won't be because of prior commitments. We may still be putting on shows, but we won't be back to full force until about November. But thats ok, because its only like 1 or 2 people, so we're good....

And finally, I just want to comment on how I am greatly pleased by the effort put out by everyone so far. Its hard to believe about a year ago, we began this thing, and we've done good. And, if Russ lets it, I've got a GREAT idea for the next show....til next time, im out like the trash on thursday....
