The Camel and His Hump
The camel once had a straight back with no humps. His home was the Sahara Desert. The camel had many desert friends except for the vulture. the vulture was camel's most hated animal. It's head was bald, and it would only peck at dead things. It's ugly claws were always dripping with goo.
One
day, Camel's friend, turtle was being teased by the vulture. Camel saw and
quickly went to help turtle. Vulture saw that the camel had came, he decided
that it might be more fun to tease camel than to teased a turtle that had a
protective shell. As vulture flew over, the camel ducked, so that he wouldn't
get hurt by the disgusting claws. Vulture made a landing on a near by cactus.
Camel looked up boldly and said, "Stop
picking on turtle!"
Vulture
laughed and said, "I
not going to until I get to tease you."
The vulture laughed again and stuck out his tongue. Camel head was boiling with
hot water. He charge toward the vulture, but missed. Vulture landed on his back
and scratched camel with his ugly claws. Camel yelped and tried to fling vulture
away. 1 hour passed and finally camel had successfully bit vulture's tail and
the sobbing vulture flew away. But vulture left a big hump on camel's back.
Camel thought it would heal in no time, but he was wrong. One month passed
and still the big hump was there on camel's back, But camel didn't care because
he knew that having a hump on his back showed that he will do any thing he could
to help his friends.
