The Vulture and His Bald Head
Long ago, the vulture had lots of feathers on his head. He had so much feathers that he had lots of hair styles he could do. Vulture liked to fly to the highest height of the sky he could go. Vulture did not fly that high for every time he tried to, he remembered the words his parents would say if they were still alive. When vulture was a chick, his parents would tell him that flying to high could cause major damage to the body. He had obeyed and promised his parents he would not fly that high in to the sky. So a promise was a promise, he would not fly high.
It was summer and the birds were going to have their 20th annual Fly High In To The Sky Championship. Vulture always competed in the championships, but he would end up losing to other birds because he had to keep the promise and not fly to high. Vulture always competed because he thought it was fun. But when he tried to congratulate the winner, they would always turn their head and just ignore him. Some would even laugh at him. This year vulture had the desire to win, so that he would not be laughed at.
The day of the Championship finally arrived and vulture was ready to win. Every bird got in place. Some were new trying to capture their first winnings, and some were old trying to capture their second or third championship. BEEP!!!! Went the horn and the birds flew up. As vulture was reaching the height he could only go to, he thought, "Maybe I can go just a tiny little bit over the height I am suppose to go to." Vulture need that but decided to fly higher again. Birds were stopping below vulture. As he started to reach the sun, he felt hot. Soon his feathers were coming off. Now vulture's head completely went bald. The heat too strong for him, vulture headed down toward ground.
When vulture awoke, he had a trophy right next to him. He had won. But as he went to the pond for a drink he saw his reflection. Screaming, he fled. Now vulture is to embarrassed to see the other animals, so he stays away and until animals are gone, he comes out.
