What is Top Secret/S.I.?

In 1980, TSR Inc. released an espionage game called Top Secret. Due to lack of sales, Top Secret was discontinued a few short years later.

In 1987, TSR Inc. released an updated version of Top Secret that was called Top Secret/SI (S.I. standing for Special Intelligence). TSSI featured a streamlined combat system, with melee combat telling you if you hit, where you hit, and how much damage was done... all from a single roll. The most notable change was going from being a class based system into a skill based system. This allowed greater customization of characters

Alas, in 1990 TSSI went the way of it's predecessor, and was dropped from TSR's product line due to insufficient sales. Loyal fans of the system still petition TSR/WotC to bring the game, or at the very least bring back some support for the system.
