[February 11, 2002 Email - The LAST one!!]
HI PEOPLE!!
Things here are great. The Consacration Week has already started out great - added and taught 2 rad families already. This last week has been ONE LONG WEEK OF PATIENCE - I can't believe how much I've learned! I can already tell that life in Babyl -I mean, home - will be a LOT different. I'm hoping that I can go to seminary or something in the morning to be able to kind of keep up on my learning. What do you say, Dad?
Zone Conference this time was FANTASTIC. And not just because I gave my testimony :P President talked about charity - in fact, this month of Feb is the month of Charity. He talked about how charity is the (and should be our) pure motive and motivator to obedience - to everything. He also talked about not being perfect and having charity, etc. Very touching, and very moving. It hit my comp hard, and he's really trying (like we all are) to do his best. I love that guy! My testimony was way funny. As you maybe know, the last ZC of any missionary, they have a special time right at the beginning to give their testimonies - of "Those that are going to die soon". Sounds pleasant, huh? I was like the fourth to speak. I had been planning my testimony for like 2 weeks but when I got up there, all I could do is giggle - I totally forgot EVERYTHING I had planned! But to no avail, the spirit was right there to help me calm down and speak. It was a great ZC.
And as for mail, this is the last time I have to write you. SO DONT WRITE ME.
As for who I want to speak - if Chelsea's going to speak in March, then someone else (:P chelsea). I don't care who. But I will ask you to speak about, like, the blessings received in these 2 years, of the first principles of the gospel.
And as for my menu:
1. BLTs
2. Spicy mexican food
3. Mexican Fiesta casserole
4. salad
5. Chinese food
6. Root Beer Floats
7. Meatloaf
8. Pizza
9. Indonesian food
I would also like bagels, cereal, and gold fish.
Thats the list of the main meals for the week (and two days) I come back. No ifs, ands, or buts.
:P muahaha
j/k
And no special surprises. Well, one - someone tried to make burritos. It was cool. And lots of lasagña they've given us.
See you in 10 days!
Nick
