Dear Family,

"My cat's breath smells like cat food!"

Hey hey! Word's up from Venezuela! Things here are going well. And in the States? How's the weather? Here we're sweating, as they say, "the fat drop." Reminds me of wrestling practice.

The last week - Consagracion Week - was way a learning experience, personally I definitely wish that it would've been done earlier. But not to worry, my mission's not over yet!

Today, Elder Maxfield and I went to the office to get POUCH and packages. I got a TON of packages! The box one, the b-day (1) and Christmas (1) packages. And every one had everything in it. I also got a letter from Sister Wyett and I heard about (finally) James! He seems to be doing way well. But I wonder where that "missionary letter" thing is at . . . the one Sister Gifford started. I also got letters dated November 6 and 13. You mention that Jennifer is good. Ask her about their plans to get sealed. Juan completes a year as a member in February. And make sure that they do it! What's Will Rogers Follies? Let's go to [Disneyland]! And the plans about me going to UT sound good. Tell Greg to . . . well. . . not lose! Ha!

Thanks for the movie info. Sounds like I've missed a ton of good movies, according to other elders and you. I heard about the Lord of the Rings movie a few months (2) ago by Elder Adair, and also the X-Men movie and now the Star Wars movie. Cool!

What grade is this "Bryan" fellow in?

Well, out of stuff to say. Chao! Nick

Hello family of Elder Onken. This is his comp Elder Maxfield, whom you have heard so much about - or nothing about. Anyway your son is awesome. He is such a good comp and trainer. Although I wish he would slow down sometimes, he's a machine! Everyone here loves him and the other missionaries tell me how jealous they are of me because they wish that they could be comps with your son. He's awesome. Anyway thanks for the book of quotes by President Hinckley. That was very nice. I'll try not to pick on Nick as much - now I feelt guilty because of your generosity. And if he talks about his bruises - they're because he fell down the stairs - not from me! Well, that's all! Have great holidays! You all sound so awesome! You raised your son very well! Peace Out!

Elder Maxfield.
