Dear Family,

E pale! How are things on the homefront? I guess it really is a homefront. Things here in Little Venice (that's where Venezuela gets its name) are good. Some decent rain, some good heat, and a rad farmer's tan. There are even traces on my neck and chest of a tie tan. Things here in the mission are doing pretty good. Having a blast, as normal, and learning SO much it's ridiculous. Last Tuesday we had a baptism and yesterday he got confirmed. That's Felix, the one who asked us how he could become Mormon. If someone asked us that question, Elder Castillo would always say, "Well, that's impossible because Mormon died almost 2 thousand years ago." It's pretty funny. The mission is just so cool. I would recommend it to anyone.

Trying to think of noteworth things that happened this week, something SO cool and SO huge it would be of worthy mention to the entire world . . . oh yeah, I remember what it was! Chelsea sent me a letter!!!! Can you believe it?! And it was 3 pages long, too! I've made fotocopies and I've laminated them, just to make sure nothing happens to it. I've almost got it all memorized, just lack the last paragraph. But don't worry, I can get that by tonight! :P muahahaha

No but really, my companion got bit by a dog the other day. We climbed 3 flights of stairs and at the top was some dog from off the street just lying down, so I passed by it without any problem and figured that it would be the same for Elder Maxfield so I continued on without looking back until I hear this weird scream/shout/singing come from behind me. At first I thought that it was comp singing again (he's a singer) but when I turn around I see this dog latched on to his leg! The dog immediately let go and then went back to sleep, just as if nothing had happened. Elder Maxfield had this way startled look on his face and I think that he was way bewildered. Ha! So in a matter of seconds we found out that the address was wrong but by then the entire floor and a handful of people outside on the ground were yelling at the dog, kicking him out of the building and protecting us 2 at the same time. Definitely one for the journal.

Now I'll respond to the letter I got last Tuesday dated October 16. Aduana is customs. I'm sorry, thought that it was like that in english, too. I still plan on going to USU.

So Tarrick's getting home soon, huh? Heck, should be this month. Have him write me! And then Mike DiPadova in December. Did you know that he was made Zone Leader? Wow! Means he's a way good missionary. At Jamba Juice he was a very hard worder and as soon as I remembered that I knew he'd play the role well. And then after Mike in December, I come home in Feb., and then James Wyett a month later and Michael Christensen at about the same time (but he lives in AZ :( )

Tomorrow we have interviews with the President. Those are always great. We'll get letters, packages (if there are some), Ensigns, Liahonas, mission newsletters and a cool talk with the President.

If they're going to change me before I die, it'll be in these changes - 28th Nov. I'm kinda neutral about this. I don't love this area to death, but I don't hate it at all, either.

I've got a roll of film developed, but I think that I"ll put you guys in suspense and not send any more home through pouch. .

With Charity, Nick
