Dear Family,
Right now it's a little past 4 and we all just got back from Puerto Cabello - as a zone activity. Last time I was there was one year ago and it was cool going back and seeing everything again. The plan at the beginning was to leave the terminal at &;00 a.m. but then Elder Nielsen, the zone leader who's going home in 3 days, had his interview with the president at 9:00 a.m and he didn't want to go alone to P. Cabello so everyone decided to meet up at 10:30 so he could go with them. Well, us 4 didn't want to go way late at 10:30 and neither did the 4 elders in Central, so all 8 of us left to Puerto at about 7:30. We went to Fortin Solano again, and this time I saw some prisoner cells that I didn't see last time. It was nice because there wasn't much sun at all. Then we went down to Malecon to see the beach and we went into some Simon Bolivar museum where we saw lots of rad paintings and cool weapons like huge claymores and halberds and stuff. And now here we are.
Yesterday we finally had a confirmation, of Emily Reina, an 8 year old girl whose family minus the Dad are members. Her Dad's cool but doesn't want to get baptized.
We're finally getting started on a program called "Projecto 2001" that deals with visiting all the less active and unknowns that appear in the ward annals (CIMI). Through this we should be able to meet a lot of less active members and help complete sealable families. I'm pretty excited about it.
General Conference was way rad. Such a blessing it is to have a profet today!
The work's going slow, but sure. The other day we set a baptisimal date with a 20+ year old guy, probably 25 years old, for the next Monday but he didn't come to church yesterday so we'll have to postpone the date.
I'm going in to take a roll to get developed so next week there'll be some pictures.
The 18th there are changes, and like 3 zone leaders, an AP, and a few other leaders are going home (or leaving the office, as in the case of Elder Klemin and Elder Allen) so these changes will be interesting. We imagine that Elder Castillo will be leaving, and maybe Elder Adair, too.
Well, sorry for the lame letter. Love you lots.
Nick
