After expiry of the pilot period by the end of January 2002, the site may still appear on the internet, but may be maintained at infrequent intervals. Any resident of Eldoraigne Extensions 6 and 9 is invited to express an opinion about this web site. Thanks to the response from residents, our e-mail recipient list grew to about 80 (plusminus half the number of residents) within the first week after the site was published. For our neighbourhood becoming as crime-aware as possible, residents may realise that security may be further enhanced by a more formal web site. Technology such as internet access from home, e-mail facilities and SMS communication may therefore also be discussed between neighbours and wherever possible, implemented.
