Tippmann assembly line.
|
When the markers reach the end of the assembly line, they are tested. Here is essentially a large tube where the tester stands in a room connected to the tube and fires down range. Every marker is tested before it is boxed. |
The bodies are machined from scratch. They take a bar of aluminum and CNC mill it into a receiver body.
These are Carbine bodies.

In the Tippmann Proshop they build custom Tippmanns. There is also a R&D work bench where they were working
on prototype markers and testing designs. When I was there they were shooting paintballs through 3 feet of
flexible hose. If they need a custom part, there are four mills standing by to custom make it. I wish I was so lucky |

| Out back behind the factory they built a test range for the Flatline barrel system. It is huge. 140 feet long if it is a foot. Looking down through the tube you can see the paint at the end. It echoes when you speak into the pipe. |
In the front office is a display of a lot of the markers that Tippmann made. it kind of is an eveloution of
the Tippmann line. Tippmann started out making real firearms. Note the working machine gun the feeds
a belt of .22 bullets. Dennis Tippmann also has other hobbies. Note the Norton Motor cycle on the other side
of the glass. This was on of three completely restored bikes I saw at the factory.
