The Lexciantos Campaign: Part 2
Unexpected guests.
After three years the scream ended, and an Imperial scout ship entered the system and contacted Lexciantos 2, finding the heresy well rooted upon the planet, and horrified by it, they immediately requested aid.
Terra dispatched a company of Blood Angels to destroy this heresy and return Lexciantos to Imperial control.
Nearby, Governor Vern of the Cal'haliath system observed this occurrence and, fearfull that Terra would believe all in the area tainted, he acted swiftly to prove his loyalty.
He despatches his own Imperial guard Company to
deal with the matter, sadly he acted jsut a little too
swiftly and the messages of his act never reached
Terra.
The Blood Angels not knowing that these Imperial
guard were friendly, presumed that any guardsmen
they met must be heretics.
Meanwhile the Eldar craft were complete and they ventured forth from their asteroids for the first time, straight into the confusion.
To continue the
confusion a Pirate
fleet of dark Eldar followed the Imperial supply vessels into the System, looking for rich pickings and the spoils of war. They were however unaware that a force of Black Templars was hot on their heels with orders to destroy them, and anything they had come into contact with.
Meanwhile far away two ork war bosses, rivals for many years had decided that the best way to settle their differences was war, a very Orkish decision, but in order the make things more interesting and to provide extra opportunities for their Boyz to get into some action, they decided to take their fleets to Lexciantos and join in the fray, fighting each other as much as the pitiful 'umies.
Sensing the confusion, and eager to see battle. The lost children of a destroyed Craftworld saw the opportunity to die in the service of the bloody handed god and set a course to bring destruction to all, hoping that in their lives of destruction they may at some point bring vengeance on the unknown force that destroyed their home.
And of course, when war raises it's
fearful head, chaos will always be there to see it done properly. Not just one, but three different aspiring champions of Chaos, seeing the war and enjoying how close the Governors heresy was to falling to chaos, had set their sights on the governor's palace and decided to bring some chaos for their dark masters. But only one could be truly great in the eyes of their dark lords, would they find a way to ally, or would their rivalry become their destruction?
The current Situation.
Back.
But Verns
troops were
not the only
Imperial guard
loyal to
the
Imperium that
would be caught
in the confusion,
when the local
garrison had been
"cleansed" by the rebels,
a company had fled,
finding a hiding place upon the moon of Lexcaintos 6. Now with the appearance of Imperial forces they are ready to make their move, unfortuantly they would suffer the same fate as Vern's forces, being mistaken for the rebels.
But Eldar are not want to let their own kind suffer under such unbalanced reasoning, and a force is destpatched to make the mourning warriors see reason. To bring them back from the brink.
Worrying about this conflict that lay if not near then within sight of their territory the noble Tau, fearfull of the other major powers building up military forces in the area, send forth an expeditionary force to analyse the situation and make the   neccesary strikes needed to ensure the safety of their domain.
