BOB RETURNS

As the creature went through Dot’s organizer, he spoke to her. "The child sprite… where is he?" He asked as he turned towards her.

Dot took a deep breath, "Enzo…" she began softly. "He… l - lost a .. g - game.." she stammered as she let out a small sob. Her voice became no more then a whisper, "He’s… been nullified…"

The creature walked up to her, and his eyes seemed to change to a soft brown, "Enzo is… gone…?" he asked softly.

Dot looked up at him. Again it sounded like Bob’s voice. And his eyes…!! They looked like Bob’s eyes!! "Yes… he’s gone.." she said quietly.

The creature stared at the female sprite for a moment… and an odd feeling filled him. The feeling was from the Guardian. There was something about what this female sprite had just said that disturbed him. ‘He’s gone…’

"Bob…?" Dot began.

The creature quickly walked away from her, and pushed the Guardian’s feelings back. His eyes turned gold and black once again. "We told you.. we are merged.. There IS no BOB!" The harsh, distorted voice had returned. ‘The young sprite lost a game…’ The Creature thought. He turned back to the organizer, his back to Dot. "He must have been a rather basic sprite to lose a game!" He snapped coldly.

Dot was stung by the cruel remark.

Suddenly, the creature felt something wet trickle down his cheek. ‘This is… odd’ The creature thought. He shook his head, and quickly wiped the strange wetness away away as he returned to his task.

After a few nanoseconds, the creature that used to be Bob slammed down the organizer. "Where is the information on the web portals?" he asked angrily.

Dot looked at him, "I don’t have that kind of information in my organizer!"

The creature narrowed his eyes, "The Guardian mis-led us!" He seemed surprised. "How could he have done that without ME knowing?!"

Dot was suprised. The web creature spoke in first person! That meant… the two personalities were SEPARATE! ‘If the Web Creature is separate from Bob, then that means Bob is able to trick the creature without it’s knowing!’ Dot thought, and she smiled. He was still in there! The Bob she knew and loved was still there! He may not have been able to fight the web creature, but he wasn’t going to help it either. Her smile widened.

"I always thought you had a nice smile…" It was the creature.. using Bob’s voice again! Dot looked at him in surprise. Her conclusion was RIGHT! Bob and the Web Creature were two different personalities.. trapped in ONE body! "Shut-up, Guardian," another brutal change. The creature glared at Dot, "How do we open the web portals.. tell me!! NOW!!" The harsh, distorted voice had returned.

"Never!" Dot replied spitefully.

"You know we will harm your friends if you do not comply!"

Dot let out a bitter laugh, "If you don’t have your web friends with you, how do you intend to hurt my friends?! I’ll fight you, Mouse will fight you… and BOB will fight you!"

"It is true… we cannot destroy the Guardian without destroying ourselves… but at least we can do something about YOU!. YOU are the one without friends now!" The creature hissed, and began advancing on Dot.

Dot began backing away from the creature. She shouldn’t have left her gun in her room! But.. what would it matter anyway? She couldn’t shoot him! He was still Bob!

"Run, Dot!" The creature said in Bob’s voice. He was surfacing again. Dot could see the creature fighting with himself. One moment he would come towards her.. the next moment he would pull back.

"Bob!" Dot shouted as the creature headed towards her again.

The creature stopped, and grabbed his head in pain. A loud screeching sound echoed throughout Dot’s apartment. It was HORRIBLE!! Dot winced and covered her ears. There was a sound of glass breaking in another room… and cracks began to form in her windows.

When the creature finished screeching, she could see the web creature had won the fight. "Your Guardian is gone..!" he hissed, "And now.. you WILL do as I say!" In a quick flash, he grabbed her… and leapt out of the nearest window with a speed and agility Bob had NEVER had.
