 I've got it set so I just hit "/id" and then "/ffrpg". I identify and then I join all my channels.
 Rarely have I had a problem.

* Estrain thinks, frowning. "Damn, it's been longer than I thought... The Golden Gil, I think it was. He named it after a coin he had from some far off country."
 "He did a lot of adventuring before he settled down."
