Magick
How it Works based on my Model
One of the most important aspects of my Magickal
Model is about Magick itself. I do not think that anyone has
to be divine to use Magick, but with the understanding of divinity
comes much more control over affecting the Universe.
My theory is really quite simple. As I stated before, all things are
created from various percentages of the seven elements. So in order
to affect the universe (magick), all you have to do is shift the
elemental balance in one way or another.
Now, as easy as this sounds, it's not. You always have to keep in
mind the balance of the universe as well as the balance you are
affecting. Add more fire here and remove more female means that
somewhere else, fire is being removed and female is being added, as
the One attempts to keep it's universes in elemental balance.
Truthfully, I see this as where such things like the idea of the
Wiccan Three-fold law come from. If you affect the balance on one
end, completely ignoring where this is affecting outside of the
direct intent, things have a way of getting out of balance near
yourself, and hence the One compensates by rebalancing the scale,
hence even casting a spell will make things need to shift in the
universe that surrounds you.
Since learning this, any spell that I have cast, I have been very
careful about where I am taking the element from as well as where I
am directing it to. I've found that if you want to add fire to
something, make sure you take it in small amounts from many different
sources. This makes the balance shift be far less dramatic in
reprucussional effect.
