Sub. Lt.  Bonngthueng Ridthikerd was born in Chinas Province in Thailand in 1928.  At present, he is a freelance artist, mastering his new technique of artistic creation.  Instead of using just common painting products such as oil, watercolor, he invented new amazing painting products, using the mixtures of natural material such as banana tree, potato fiber, and, --most amazing and fascinating of all his materials- - ,  the sanitized elephant manure to create his fascinating work.
Sub. Lt.   Ridthikerd graduated from Silpakorn University, TOP ART University in THAILAND.  He is one of the few pioneer artists in Thailand who had the opportunity to study with the late renowned arts teacher, Prof. Silt Pirasri.(c. Ferogi).  After he graduated, he worked as an Art Director of Channel 4 at what was then (now changed to Channel 9).   During that time he also worked in various groundbreaking arts projects in Thailand.  He worked for Thai National Theater and  for  Royal Prince,  Anusorn Mongcorngan, on numerous pieces of scenery design.  Also , as a guest lecturer, he taught Fine Arts and decoration at the Faculty of Interior Decoration and the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture at  Silpakorn University.
Though his life,  he was honored by uncountable organizations such as United States Information Services (USIS), French Embassy (Radio France), German Culture Center, English Culture Center (British Council), India Culture Center Culture Center, Iran Culture Center, Egypt Culture Center etc.  As these organizations granted him visiting scholarships, he has visited arts center all around the world.
In 1950, he won the National Exhibition of Arts award, an award that honors dedicated and ingenious artists in Thailand.   This award is given yearly and he won this award four consecutive years.
He also was granted the Red Cross silver medal for his work on scenery design for two pieces of ballet,  ;Manora;and ;Mrs. Wharton and the Queen;.   He felt very much honored as he was granted the awards by her majesty the Queen.  In  1997, he was honored by the Thai National Cultural Council and named the outstanding Artist of Rayoung province, 1997.
At 74, he still is still active, vibrant, and still has a strong passion for finding and discovering new ways to create Art.  He has now discovered new techniques of painting that raise awareness on preserving the nature and the environment.
His new invention for painting is, unquestionably, unique and groundbreaking.  As mentioned before, instead of using common painting products, he uses his patented products, the mixtures of banana tree, tree fibers and, most amazing of all, sanitized elephant manure.  Other groundbreaking technique is his use of thousands of pieces of small clothes and human hairs to create impressionistic painting, allowing a new kind of paint to born.
He also dedicates his life to teaching the new generations his methods, allowing them to learn to think creatively.
His work is an inspiration to all people who have the opportunity to see it.  Not only can the viewers appreciate it for its aesthetic value; they can appreciate his attempt to raise awareness on the value of environment and nature.
His works have been exhibited in several arts galleries in America, and are now was collected by art lovers internationally.
