Fox Goes Jogging
I want to thank my beta for all of her help in writing this story.
This is a Danville Take 2 Universe discipline story.
Main characters Fox William Skinner, Walter (Walt) Skinner, Jr., Rachel
(Gram) and Walter (Gran) Skinner, Sr., Dana and Maggie Scully
It was a Sunday morning and Fox was going out for his daily run. He was
trying to be quiet as not to wake his father. They had decided that
after his second childhood had come to an abrupt end to continue and
live together. It just hadn't felt right to live apart. Walt had
agreed for more than one reason. He enjoyed his "son's" company but
this way he could also keep an eye out on his son and make sure he ate
balanced meals and didn't take chances with his health. That was the
real reason behind Fox's desire to leave without waking his dad.
It was only raining a little bit when he had looked out earlier but the
weather report had said that they were in for a day of heavy raining
before it finally ended that night. The temperature was expected to go
down as the day progressed. It was only in the lower 50's now but Fox
reasoned that he would stay warm enough once he was in to his run.
He was dressed and ready to leave when he heard, "And where do you think
you are going on such a miserable day?"
It was dear old Dad and he wasn't amused. Fox turned around slowly and
tried to bluff his way out of trouble. "Dad, I was just going to take
Yoda out for a walk?"
Walt didn't bat an eye and said, "If you are going to take the dog out
wouldn't it be a good idea to have him on leash?"
"I was just about to get it," he got no further as he was grabbed by his
Dad and hurried away from the door and into the living room, where he
pushed him in the nearest chair. "Son, I won't be lied to. You were
fixing on going out for a run even after our agreement that when the
weather was bad you would use the exercised equipment in our recreation
room. There's a treadmill for your use when you can not run outside."
"No, honest Dad I was going to just take Yoda for a walk. It wasn't
until I actually put my hand on the door knob that I remembered that I
had forgotten the leash," explained Fox, "anyhow it is only sprinkling
outside."
Walt went to the window in the front of the room and pulled back the
drapes to show that it was a steady rain falling outside and inquired,
"Is this what you consider a sprinkling?"
Fox responded without thinking, "It was only sprinkling a few minutes
ago Dad. I was just going to go for a short run and return before it
got too heavy...that is only a bit harder than the sprinkling I told you
about before. Sheech...I am an adult now Dad, I wish you would stop
treating me like a child."
"So you don't want to be treated like a child, okay from this point on I
won't. I am going to punish you for lying to me...twice like my father
would me," said Walter. "Punish me for lying? When did I lie?" Asked
Fox.
"You lied to me when you said you were taking Yoda for a walk when in
reality you were going for a run. In your explanation a minute ago you
stated that you were only going for a short run and implied that even
though it was only sprinkling when you were going to start you would be
back long before it started to rain harder."
Fox's expression went from normal to curious to resignation and he hung
his head. He was busted. He had let it slip that his main intention
had been that of going for a run and not taking Yoda for a walk like he
told his dad...twice.
"Fox William, I want you to position yourself over that chair you are
sitting in. First I want you to lower your pants and boxers and be in
position by the time I get back," his Dad left him to get ready as he
took Yoda by the collar and let him outside for his run. There was a
doghouse and an overhang so he wouldn't get too wet, but he wasn't going
to take any chances with getting bit while punishing his master.
He picked up the paddle Fox had made and returned to the living room
only to find Fox still sitting. "Son, I thought I told you to get into
position for your paddling."
"Dad, being paddled isn't how an adult is punished in the real world and
I'm not going to voluntarily agree to it," stated Fox. He had thought
hurriedly about this as his father was putting up the dog and retrieving
the paddle.
Walt wasn't amused and said, "Fox, you know that this is how misbehavior
is punished in our family, no matter the age...now unless you want me to
double the licks you will get into position...NOW!"
"NO, I don't agree and I'm going for my run," and before Walt could stop
him he ran out of the door. He didn't get very far before he met his
Gran coming up the walk. Walter, Sr. knowing something must be wrong
grabbed Fox by the ear as he stopped and pulled him back to the house
and into the arms of his father. "This belongs to you, I believe," he
said as he pulled Fox back into the house.
Fox was released only after his Father grabbed him by the arm. With Fox
firmly in hand Walt turned to his father and said, "Dad, it is good to
see you, where is Mom?"
"Since it is raining, she opted to stay in the car for now," stated
Walter.
"Dad, hold on to Fox, I'll be right back," and after pushing Fox into
his grandfather's arms Walt grabbed an umbrella and went out into the
rain. He hurried to his folk's car and got in. After talking a few
minutes he helped his Mom from the car and they came into the house. He
wasn't surprised to hear his son being paddled by his father, and they
hurried into the living room.
There was Fox draped over the chair with pants and boxers at his ankles
being paddled. He was sobbing as his grandfather was applying the
paddle to his red bottom. He pulled Fox up and pushed him into a corner
of the room. "You stay there, and don't move. You might be getting
more for the original misdeed."
Walter turned to his son and said, "Tell me why he is in trouble?"
"He was going to go out for a run in the rain and when I stopped him he
lied to me...twice. I told him to get into position over that chair
when he spouted that he was an adult and was going to be treated as an
adult and adults are not paddled for misbehaving, at least not in the
real world. I was just about to remedy the situation when he shouted
'No' and ran out into the rain. Would you tell me why you were paddling
him?" Walt asked respectfully.
"Well, after you went out to get your mom, I brought him into the living
room and the first thing I saw was the paddle and knew he was in some
sort of trouble and innocently asked him what? He sassed me and you
know what that always brings. I quickly bared his bottom and pushed him
over that chair and wore him out. He now sees the error of his ways,
don't you, boy?"
"Yess, Gran," sobbed Fox.
"Son, your grandfather got a hold of you before I could and for the time
being we will let that do for your earlier misdeeds, too. But if I ever
hear that you have put your health in risk again I will give you such a
paddling that you will be feeling it for some time. Now pull up your
pants and go to your room and rethink how this could have been avoided."
Fox took just a moment to pull his pants over his red and sore bottom
and fled to his room. He was so mad...here he was an adult and still
they treated him like a small boy. He would show them and get his run
in, too. He threw himself on his bed and a plan came to his mind. He
got up later and turned on his computer and soon he was seated gingerly
on the chair looking at the Weather Channel on Internet. His plan was to
find an area nearby where it wasn't raining and go for a run there. He
finally located a place...in Annapolis. Rain was expected but hadn't
arrived yet. Fox was sure he could get his run in before that happened.
Now all he needed is a legitimate way out of the house.
About 30 minutes later Fox came down the stairs dressed in jeans, polo
shirt, wearing a jacket, and carrying an umbrella. "Dad, I'm going to
the office for a file, I'll be back before lunch," and stepped out into
the rain. He made it half way to the car when the door opened and his
Dad called out, "Fox, do you have to go now?"
"Dad it is raining too hard to do much and I thought I could read over
the report and have it typed up for your desk Monday." He sounded so
sincere that his Dad nodded and went back inside. Fox waited until he
had gotten into the car and was pulling out of the drive before he let
his emotions show. He smiled; he had pulled one over on his Dad. He
drove straight to Annapolis where he had decided to run.
He stayed away from the area where Scully lived. The last thing he
needed now was for his Dad to find out that he was running instead going
to the office like he said. What his Dad didn't know was that he had
brought that file home with him to be able to type the report this
weekend.
Fox drove around until he found a nice street near the park where he
parked his car. He had his shorts and t-shirt on under his clothes and
swiftly stripped down. He even pulled off the jacket knowing he would
warm up during his run. He did his stretching exercises before locking
the car and started his run. He was in the middle of his run when he
felt the first raindrops and soon afterwards he felt the temperature
drop significantly and he became chilled. He started to turn around
when the bottom fell out and he was drenched in the first minutes of the
rainstorm. He decided that since he was already wet he would continue
a bit longer before turning around and returning to his car. He ran a
few blocks more before the chill in the rain changed his mind and he
turned around.
Fox kept his head down and began to run back to his car. He had only
gone about a mile when he saw a car pull up and then stopped. Maggie
Scully, Dana's Mom, stuck her head out the window to yell, "Fox. Get in
this car at once!"
Fox was too cold and wet to argue and wearily stumbled over to the
passenger side of the car and climbed in. Maggie didn't say anything as
she drove straight home. She drove into the garage connected to the
back door and ordered, "Fox, get yourself out of this car and into this
house at once," as she opened the door and held it for him.
As he passed her she noticed how miserable he looked and realized that
what he needed now was a hot bath and ran ahead of him into the bathroom
to draw his bath. She met him in the hall and pushed him into the
bathroom saying, "Fox you get in the tub now and don't get out until you
have warmed up. I'll bring you some sweat clothes you can change into."
Fox looked at the steam coming from the bathtub and knew that getting
into that tub with his sore bottom was something he didn't want to
experience at this moment. He looked around trying to come up with a
plan that would keep that from happening. He was still trying to come
up with a plan when a knock on the door came followed by Maggie bearing
sweat clothes. She put them down on the closed commode seat and frowned
saying, "Fox, you are still in those wet and cold clothes. Get out of
them at once," and started to help him unbutton his shirt.
"No, I'll do it," unbuttoning the shirt as slow as he could. Maggie
watched for a moment figuring that something was up and decided to speed
the operation up. She grabbed a long handled bath brush and smacked his
bottom with the flat of the brush. Fox yelled, "Yeeeoooowwwwcchhh," and
began to rub his bottom. It was just enough to awaken the pain from
where his grandfather had paddled him earlier.
"Fox, you get in that tub at once and stay there or I will use this
brush on your bottom again," threatened Maggie. The threat worked
wonders and Fox stripped down to his boxers before climbing into the
tub. He hissed as his sore bottom made contact with the hard surface of
the tub. Maggie stayed until she saw he was in the tub. As she left
the room she went straight to the phone and called his Dad.
"Walter? This is Maggie Scully. I have Fox here and he is soaking in a
hot tub," and then she launched in an explanation on how he came to be
soaking in her tub. In turn Walter told her about the paddling he had
already received and what he had done to earn it.
"So what do you want to do about this," asked Maggie who started to
smile as she listened to Walter speak. "Okay, we will be waiting for
your arrival, and don't worry I won't tell him that you are coming.
Good-bye."
She had just hung up when she heard the door close upstairs and knew her
patient was up and going. "Fox, I left a pair of slippers outside the
bathroom. When you are finished come on down to the kitchen and I'll
fix you something warm to drink," and went into the kitchen to fix him a
cup of hot chocolate.
By the time Fox made it downstairs, Maggie had a hot cup of cocoa ready
for him. "Here, Fox," Maggie said handing Fox his cup, "Sit here and
let's talk."
Fox took a sip of hot chocolate letting the warm chocolate soothe his
nerves. It tasted heavenly. He kept drinking not really wanting to
answer any of the questions he was sure that Maggie was dying to ask.
"Fox, are you warm," asked Maggie? Fox nodded, "yes," before returning
to the cup. "Fox, talk to me. Why were you jogging over here instead
of closer to your house?"
Fox had no choice but to answer now. "It was raining over there and I
wanted to run. I picked this area because the Weather Channel said that
it wasn't raining here. Rain was expected but not until this afternoon.
I thought to get my run in before it started. I guess the front was
moving faster that they thought," he finally ended.
The answer seemed to satisfy Maggie because she didn't ask him any other
questions, which did wonders in calming his nerves. As soon as he had
finished he said, "Thanks for the hot chocolate, Mrs. Scully. If you
wouldn't mind dropping me off at my car and I'll be on my way. I'll
return the sweat clothes."
"Fox, it is raining too hard at the moment and besides your shoes are
sopping wet. I have them near the fireplace and they should be dry
within the hour. Wait until then and we shall see. If you need to call
anyone, there is the phone over there," pointing to the phone on the
wall.
"Yes, ma'am, I had better. I sure don't want my Dad to worry," and then
excusing himself he walked over to the phone. Maggie left him alone to
give him some privacy.
It must have been a short conversation because Fox joined her in the
living room only moments later. "Fox, why don't you lie down on the
couch and wait for the rain to stop." The couch looked so inviting to
Fox that he did exactly that and soon found himself fast asleep. He
didn't even feel the blanket she pulled over him.
Sometime later there was a knock at the front door and Maggie hurried to
answer it. She didn't want it to wake Fox, who was still sleeping so
soundly. At the front door were Walter and his father. She invited
them both in and after introductions were made said in a low voice,
"He's in the living room asleep. Won't you come this way?" She led
them into the kitchen for a cup of coffee and to talk.
After they all had a cup of coffee in front of them Maggie said, "What
are we going to do about that boy?"
"Well, I promised him another paddling if I heard of him running in bad
weather again. I would double the licks his grandfather gave him this
morning for sassing him. I just tacked on his deceit to the paddling he
already got and now I see I should have given him one for that as well."
"He told me that he checked the weather before coming over here and the
forecast for this area was rain this afternoon and not in the morning
but we all know that weather can change rather quickly. It caught him
unprepared for it and he was soaked to the bone when I ran across him.
I was on my way to the grocery store and passed this guy slowly jogging
towards me and recognized him. He looked so miserable...cold and wet
that I ordered him into the car and took him straight home. The only
trouble I had was getting him to soak in the hot tub and had to use the
bath brush applied to the seat of his wet pants to get him to move.
After talking with you I knew why he was stalling. I think I got him
warmed up enough to keep him from catching cold with the hot bath and
hot chocolate," explained Maggie.
"Don't worry, when we get him home he will be warmed up," making the
motion of spanking, "and my wife will be giving him a large dose of
cod-liver oil to forestall any cold coming his way. He will be a very
sorry young man tonight," promised Walter, Sr.
"How long has he been sleeping," asked Walt?
"At least an hour maybe a bit longer," replied Maggie. "Do you want me
to wake him?" Walt nodded "yes." "Did you bring him some dry socks and
shoes?" Again Walt nodded "yes." "Well, come with me," and led them
into the living room this time and motioned for them to sit in the
chairs on either side of the couch where Fox lay.
Maggie went over to the couch and Fox and shook his shoulder gently
saying, "Fox, it's time for you to wake. It's time for you to go home,"
and stood back as Fox began to wake up.
Fox opened his eyes slowly and surveyed the room lazily until he came
upon the face of his Dad. He then jumped up and nervously said, "Dad,
what are you doing here?"
"We've come to take you home, son," answered Walt.
"We've?" Questioned Fox.
"Your grandfather and I are here," motioning to the other side of the
room where Fox could now see his grandfather sitting. He didn't look
very pleased.
"Uh...I can explain, Dad," he started only to be interrupted by his
grandfather. "You can explain lying and disobedience, Fox? While you
are explaining remember you are in enough trouble as it is and if you
add lie upon lie I will give you such a whipping that you will remember
if for years afterwards," threatened Walter, Sr.
Fox only hung his head and said nothing. "Son, I brought you a dry pair
of socks and shoes, get dressed and then we will take you to where you
left your car and you and your grandfather can drive home," handing Fox
the shoes and socks. Fox slowly got dressed and it was a subdued Fox
who thanked Maggie for her help and got it the car with his Dad and
grandfather. He wasn't looking forward to what would happen once he
returned home.
With a few directions from Fox it didn't take Walt long to locate his
car. He let out his son and father to follow him home. He hoped the
drive home would help to cool him off. He wanted to be in control of
himself before it came to punishing his son.
It was a quiet ride back home, the silence was almost more than Fox
could stand. He sneaked a look at his Gran's face but it told him
nothing. He knew he was in big trouble and that scared him and also
made him mad. "How dare they treat him like a little boy, again," was
all he could think about as he felt a tantrum coming on. It wouldn't
take much to see it skyrocket out of control.
Fox pulled into the drive first with his Dad right behind him. They
parked side-by-side in the spacious garage. They got out and headed
into the house with Fox in the lead. Gram was waiting anxiously with
Yoda by her side. "Fox, are you all right," asked a concerned
grandparent? "I'm fine, Gram," Fox answered tensely as he brushed past
her.
Walt and his father came in behind and heard the exchange. "He's fine,
thanks to Maggie Scully's quick thinking," replied Walt.
Rachel looked up asking for more information with a questionable look on
her face. Walter took over and said, "Let's sit down while I tell you
of the foolhardiness of your grandson. He decided that he wanted to go
for a run no matter what so he drove to Annapolis to go for that run.
He lied to us when he said he was going to retrieve the case he was
working on and drove over to Annapolis for his run. He miscalculated a
few things. The rain and that Maggie Scully lived in the neighborhood
he decided to run in. When Maggie ran across him he was running in the
cold rain and was soaked to the bone. He showed a little sense by
obeying her command to get into the car and she took him home and put
him into a hot tub and put something hot in his stomach and called us
onto where he was. He was supposed to call and tell us where he was,
which he didn't do so he misled Maggie as well. The sweats he is
wearing belong to her son Charlie. Is that about right, boy?" They all
turned to Fox to admit his wrongdoing.
With all eyes on him Fox exploded, tantrum in full mode, "YES!! I went
for a run and it started to rain. Are you satisfied? I admit it, I did
check with the weather channel, if anyone is interested, and it wasn't
supposed to rain in Annapolis until that afternoon. I just wanted to go
for a run OUTSIDE and everybody treats me like a little kid. I am an
adult and I can do anything I DAMN WANT TO and WHENEVER I WANT TO DO IT.
So I lied, so what, it's my life, so LEAVE ME THE F**K ALONE," Fox
shouted, not caring how his words were impacting on his folks.
With the first curse word his father and grandparents arched their
eyebrows and by the time the "F" word was shouted his grandfather swung
into action. As soon as Fox paused for breath he found himself in the
arms of his Gran who said, "I will not be shouted at nor will I be
cussed at and I will not stand by and let a grandson of mine use that
kind of filthy language in front of his grandmother," and preceded to
drag him into the kitchen and to the sink. As soon as Fox saw where
they were going he began to struggle. His Gram was there with the bar
of soap and after soaping it up stuck it in his mouth and scraped it
over his teeth several times. He was sputtering well before they were
finished.
While his parents were taking care of Fox Walt went into his bedroom and
after a little rummaging found the strap he had unconsciously dubbed,
"Persuader, Jr." and returned to the kitchen. He pulled Yoda from the
room and out into the yard, closing the door behind him. There was a
wide overhang and a sturdy doghouse so he wasn't troubled since it was
still raining, the dog would be protected. He wasn't going to have a
repeat performance when Yoda did nip him in protecting Fox from a
spanking.
After Rachel and Walter were satisfied that Fox's mouth had been
thoroughly cleaned he was pulled from the sink and over to the kitchen
table. Walter pulled his pants and boxers down and pushed him over the
table. Walt handed him the strap. Walter took it and said, "Boy, I
don't know what has gotten into you today but I plan on doing my level
best to adjust your attitude. Now what are you being punished for?"
Fox just shook his head refusing to answer. Walter struck hard,
focusing on the middle of Fox's backside. CRACK...CRACK...The reaction
was instant. "YEOOOOOOWWWWWWWW," yelled Fox. He had been expecting the
paddle, this hurt ten times worse. It felt just like the Persuader.
"Now that I have your attention, I ask again. What are you being
punished for?"
"For lying," cried Fox.
CRACK...CRACK...OWWWWWW...CRACK...NO MORE, PLEASEEEEEEEE...CRACK.
Walter proceeded to give him four licks overlapping them from the center
of his backside until he reached his sit spot and pausing to ask, "And
what else?"
"For cussing...I'm sorry. Please no more, please," sobbed Fox.
Walter gave him two more both on his sit spot and asking a question in
between the licks.
CRACK... "ARE YOU GOING TO CUSS AND LIE TO US AGAIN?"...CRACK.
"Nooooooo. I promise," howled Fox.
And with a final hard CRACK again to his sit spot, Walter threw the
strap down. "OWWWWWWWWWHHHHLLLL," wailed Fox sobbing so hard he could
barely stand. Walter gathered his grandson into his arms and held him
as he sobbed his distress. His bottom was a beacon of pain. Walt
pulled his boxers up but pulled the sweat pants completely off. Between
the two of them they half carried and half walked him to his room and
bed. Rachel was ahead of them and had already pulled the sheets down.
She met them in the hallway and directed them to the bathroom where Fox
rinsed his mouth out before moving on to his bed. Rachel brought a
clean wet rag to wash his face before he was gently put to bed. He was
placed on his stomach and after Rachel left his boxers were pulled off
and a light sheet was draped over him. Walt turned to Fox and said,
"Fox, get some sleep and when you awake we must talk this out. Son, I
love you," and with that gave him a kiss on the forehead. Gran followed
suit with a hug and the words, "Your Gram and I love you too, boy." Fox
had nearly stifled the tears until he heard that and started back up as
soon as they had left. These tears were mainly due to the words and
actions of his family just now and he eventually cried himself to sleep.
As soon as Rachel had come into the kitchen she let Yoda in and waited
for her son and husband to join her.
She picked up the strap that was used on Fox and was amazed how much it
looked at the strap they fondly called the Persuader.
"Son, where did you get this strap," she asked as soon as Walt entered
the room?
"About a month ago I was out of town for a conference and since it
wasn't that far I decided to drive. It was during the return trip that
I happened upon the nicest small town restaurant run by an older couple
named Henderson. As I was checking out I saw that strap hanging up on
the wall. They had decorated the place with old timey items and the
strap was one of them. They saw me looking at it and we struck up a
conversation. I told them about you and how you used its twin as a
means of correction and inquired if I could purchased it since I had a
son that could benefit from it's use to his backside and after informing
them of some of his more memorable antics they sold it to me. They felt
that I could put it to better use than just decorating the wall,"
explained Walt.
"What are you going to name it, son," asked Walter.
"Well, when I saw it I dubbed it Persuader, Jr., but now I was thinking
of changing it to something else."
"What were you thinking of, son? You know I named my strap the
Persuader, since I was trying to persuade you and your siblings to my
way of thinking and behaving. That is certainly still true with Fox,"
stated Walter.
"Oh, yes, that will never change. I want a name that will show him that
this is the punishment he can expect for serious misdeeds. I've told him
many times over that he will not like the consequences of his
actions...this is the consequence he can expect from now on. Lying will
always earn him the strap, as will endangering his life needlessly. I
want him to visualize and react whenever he says the name and maybe
eventually he will learn not to do the things that will earn him a
session with it. I got to think about it more before naming it, but for
the time being it will be known as the "Strap."
Fox slept about an hour before getting up and surveying the damage the
strap did to his backside. His grandfather was a wizard with the strap.
He left welts that would be gone by tomorrow but stung whenever he put
pressure on it. They overlapped until they reached the area where thigh
and buttock met and that was still enflamed but not bleeding in the
least. He would be feeling that for a few days. He eased on a pair of
sweatpants and went to the bathroom to wash his face. Afterwards he
returned to his room for his pillow, he knew he would have to sit on
that to be able to sit for the promised talk. He was really sorry he
had exploded at his folks and especially at the language he had used.
Walt was talking with his parents over a cup of coffee when Fox
sheepishly entered the room carrying his pillow. "Son, it's good you
could join us. Just put your pillow in your chair and have a sit," said
Walt.
"Fox, can I fix you a cup of something," asked Rachel?
"A cup of hot chocolate would taste wonderful, Gram," Fox said shyly.
Fox put his pillow in his chair and carefully lowered himself on it. He
hissed at first but eventually found a comfortable position. As soon as
Rachel put the hot chocolate in front of Fox the conversation changed.
"Fox, I want an explanation on why you felt that you had to disobey me
and run in the rain, and why you lied?" Walt asked.
Fox took a sip from his cup before answering. "Dad, I remembered the
times before I got to relive my childhood when I ran whenever I liked,
made my own decisions without fear of repercussion from any of you. I
don't understand why I can't do that again, I am an adult after all."
Walt looked at his son a moment before answering. "Fox, it is true that
you made those decisions concerning your health on your own and on the
most part your decisions usually led to you being undernourished, sick
or hurt more times than I would like to remember."
"Dad, I don't remember that part only that I had more freedom and say-so
in my life as an adult," admitted Fox.
"Your life back then was different before a second childhood was thrust
upon you. We," pointing to his parents and himself, "had hoped to
change some aspects of your old life into one that as a loving family
behind it. Even before your second childhood you had been adopted in
our family and I was looking at you as a younger brother but now I was
blessed by stepping into fatherhood. We tried to teach you what is
right and wrong and to give you our love no matter what. This is an
unconditional love we offer, which I don't think you had in your first
family," Walt explained gently. The effect was instant, Fox had tears
running down his face. Rachel leaned close and hugged and kissed him.
Walt continued, "Son, we love you and this is something that won't ever
change but we can't just sit by and watch as you endanger your health by
jogging in the wet and cold weather. Endangering your life needlessly
will always earn a paddling at the least. Now we taught you that lying
is wrong and lying to a family member is the worst and as your
grandfather has shown you it will always earn a strapping and a very
sore bottom."
"Now Fox, we expect you to follow the principals, standards, rules and
morals we taught you during your second childhood. You now have a
loving family that will do everything in its power to keep you on the
right track. I think you know the consequences if you decide to stray?"
asked Rachel.
"Oh, yes ma'am, Gran made that part crystal clear. Gran, I do have one
question?"
"Yes, sir and what is that?"
"How did you know I would do anything needing the Persuader?"
"I didn't and the strap I used on you wasn't the Persuader, even though
from the way you acted it most likely felt like it."
"It wasn't the Persuader?"
"No, son, it is a twin though. I picked it up last month but decided
not to tell you about it. I thought to surprise you with it the next
time you did anything serious enough to warrant its use on your bottom.
Only it was your grandfather whom got to surprise you with it,"
explained Walt.
"Boy, did he," said Fox with a grin, "does this mean the strap is here
to stay and isn't going home with Gram and Gran?"
"Oh, yes. I bought it for use on you, son and here it is going to stay.
So remember that the next time you want to going running in the rain
after being told NO or anything else that warrants its use on you," Walt
said with a grin and to the dismay of Fox, he added, "you can have the
pleasure of naming it but I have to approve it before it is officially
dubbed."
The End
(Fox might need help in naming the Strap. If anyone thinks of a
suitable name please send it to me at sue1951@bellsouth.net)
